In the Form Financial Evaluation for PGP Sponsorship Column 8 MINIMUMNECESSARY INCOME----In the guide it is mentioned that Indicate the mINIMUMiNCOME required in order to sponsor the number of persons included in Question 7 based on the Federal Income Table for PGP Sponsorship.
We are 5 persons. What amount to mention?
2014 2013 2012
64791/- 63833/- 62023/-

Should I mention 62023/-?
I suppose and considering your reply somewhere on this thread this MNI is LICO +30%.
Please guide.

What can we use in place of birth certificate of sponsor to prove relationship with primary applicant if we do not have one ?

10th certificate is also okay. Provided it contains your name, date of birth and your father name( or mother whosever is principle applicant)

This may be a dumb question or I am probably reading too much into the forms, but in the Fee Payment form, what would be the total fees if I am sponsoring my father and mother and they don't have any dependents?

The form allows you to mark for the sponsor, the principal applicant, spouse and additional dependents. Does spouse there stand for my spouse or my mother? I am assuming that it stands for my mother (principal applicant's spouse). Could someone clarify please?

For those who are naturalized citizens, what date do you put for the effective date? Oath taking date?

My sister is a naturalized citizen and we used the date found on the Certificate of Canadian Citizenship.

Hello,

My parents don't have a marriage certificate, they got married in India in 70's. I am planning to go for a Notary Affidavit. Since both of them are here in Canada can I get a Notarized Affidavit here in Canada. Is it valid ?

Has anyone here faced the same situation.

Appreciate your help.

Thanks !

Hi,

Help please.

1. I tried filling out the Generic application form but I have a problem in question # 3 when validating it. The error is " The number of clients on the application does not match how many family members , including you, that you indicated in question 3 of the Application details section. You have indicated 3 family members , including you, are to be included in the application. Please enter personal information for all clients, including you."

We will sponsor our parents and 1 dependent brother. I answered 3 on question 3: How many family members, including you, are in this application?"

On the form, I put my father as the principal applicant who is married to my mother and my brother as the dependent.

2. My father and mother are unable to find their school transcript or diploma. Will the CIC asked for it and if they do, what would be the best alternative to do? I guess there were no computers in use during their graduation time.

Any input or suggestion will be appreciated.

Thank you!!

That is for your father's spouse. The total is CAD1,100.

I am in similar situation but my parents are visiting Canada as opposed to being settled here.

Affidavit from Canada should be good;read my posts in this thread for detailed info.

Feel free to ask if you have any questions.

That's the most up to date data for the income requirement on CIC's website. Here's the link to confirm.

This amount is the Minimum necessary income for each of the years (i..e., LICO + 30%)

So you have to mention 64791 for 2014 only

Have you filled both your mother and brother's personal details in DEPENDENT(S) section? The form tries to match the number (in your case, 3) you put in Q#3 with the number of people that filled 'personal details'. So, your father, as the principal applicant, should fill his personal details starting on 1st page right after application details. When you come to dependent(s) section, you should add your mother first with her personal details and then followed by your brother.

2. My father and mother are unable to find their school transcript or diploma. Will the CIC asked for it and if they do, what would be the best alternative to do? I guess there were no computers in use during their graduation time.
Why do you need school cert. for your parents now? I don't think it's required anytime now or later. Follow checklist.

Hi everyone

I wanted to apply for my parents in 2016 but our income in 2012 is less. Can I still send the application anyway with 2015 pay stubs?? . The problem is my brother who is dependent is turning 17. So if I won't apply this year then I will only have one year left . I'm so confused. Please help ... Thank you
