Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

I am thankful to ROSSEI to start this THREAD.
There are many VIP and CHAMPION members to guide the needy members.
Experience of Jhutti and Rossei sending PGP Application is really thrilling.
Let us pray GOD (1)Forms are updated by CIC at the earliest and(2) our all members are able to get their applicaion reach at CPC-MISSISSAUGA ON Opening day itself.

If someone has worked/ talked with some courier companies who is ready to deliver 8:00am in Mississauga office, please post their names here so that it can help other people as well. We have criticized FEDEX, Puro..and other big courier companies but did not appreciate any smaller local courier companies....Any information on it?

I think an affidavit from India would be more appropriate. But you can notarize the affidavit here.

I am a little confused and concerned about getting an affidavit from India.

Since my parents are in Canada I cant (& shouldn't) get an affidavit from India. I was told that getting an affidavit from India - of a date when my parents are in Canada would be technically speaking - "incorrect" (as they would be present in person to get affidavit).

So, I hope that getting an affidavit from Canada as my parents are here would be "correct" and acceptable to CIC?

please share your thoughts and experience on this technical point.

I wanted to bring this up for the benefit of any other users who might be in the same boat.

Good job on posting the latest forms link. Seems like CIC still doesn't have any directive from the Govt. as if they are going to increase the cap from 5,000 to 10,000. To me, this is the latest forms 2016 applicants need to use, meaning there won't be anymore updates. But you guys should still keep an eye on the link.

So, I hope that getting an affidavit from Canada as my parents are here would be "correct" and acceptable to CIC?

It will be okay. Provide as much supporting docs as you can.

Also, my parents have 1 dependent. I already put him in the Generic application, should I fill out the 'Additional Dependant/Declaration Form' too? I know the keyword is 'additional' but I am just confuse.

I will be an uncompensated representative for the application, will there be a problem if I put my email address as the principal's email in the 'Generic Application' form? I will use the same email on the 'Use of Representative' form. My parents have no email.

no, since it's in english


Translation of documents

Any document that is not in English or French must be accompanied by:

the English or French translation; and
an affidavit from the person who completed the translation; and
a certified copy of the original document.

I need a guidance whether help of consultant is necessary for filing PGP PR application?Do they help more then filling up the forms?Is there any consultant who help in checking the forms filled up by us?
