Hello! I'm currently living in Canada with my husband whos's going to sponsor me for PR.
I am having issues filling the education section for the forms imm 0008 and imm 5669.

I spent three years in college but I repeated the first year of my English bachelor and started another program but didn't finish it either because of personal issues.
I know I'm not supposed to include kindergarden so I would put 5 years for Elementary, 7 for High School. What about post secondary? Do I have to include them if I didn't get my degree?

For "highest level of education", I'm tempted to put post secondary - no degree....
And for "Number of years of education in total" and "Give the number of years you have successfully completed" do they mean the same? Would I put my unfinished degree in the total years?

So sorry for all the questions!

Thank you :)

You're not getting many answers because it either seems pretty obvious (if you didn't complete a post secondary degree, then it's post secondary no degree) or its unclear how many years total post-secondary/not very important. Don't include years you repeated, count other ones, even if they weren't part of a completed degree is my guess, but use your own judgment.

BTW your eligibility for sponsorship is basically not affected by your education. It's mainly just used for background checks.

By "count other ones", do you mean that in my case I would include the first year of my English bachelor and the other program for the total of years period? So two years instead or three?

Yes I know I just want to make sure it's correct so it matches with what I wrote in the forms. I don't want the officer to think I'm trying to hide something if I'm not including all the college years including the repeated years.

Makes me think that when I applied for visitor record, in one of the forms they asked me for my highest level of education and I put my English bachelor... It's still being processed so I hope it's ok :/

I don't understand the details of your education (and honestly, don't care that much, and I don't think it's terribly important). Just decide how best to present it, use your judgment.

If you think this is that cmplex and worthy of explaining (I don't, but up to you), then include an explanation - but for simplicity sake, make it a simple timeline.

If you have a degree, you completed a degree.
