Thanks for the reply. Would it possible for you to list down the next steps and time taken for each step after recieving the 1st AOR?
Roughly I know there will be MR, Security check, Passport request etc. Would be great to know exact steps and expected timelines.

Hi Can,

Going by the current trend, It may take another 5-6 months to get your PPR request. So I think until your PPR request is not
turned up, it doesn't matter if you are in India or abroad. The medicals can be done anywhere and should be sent
to NDVO. So you can plan to be abroad for this timeframe. It would be advisable to be in India to submit your passports.

Regarding medicals - Xray ( for adults), blood and urine samples to test HIV, sugar etc., eye check up and small consultation with panel physician.

So don't extend your trip beyond 6 months, otherwise they may ask for Police clearance again.

regards
P

hello guys,
no updates?????
no aor,mr,ppr?/?

we don't need to frustrated be calm and wait patiently, they have their own style and procedure of work,it will come everybody's turn for visa,

we have to focus on life in canada and how to settle down in canada.i have very informative link below:
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/joshs-post-a-must-read-for-all-applicants-t29510.0.html;msg171957#msg171957

Absolutely .... these are true facts highlighted by Josh and i can say that because my sponsor had a similar kind of a struggle story. Now that made me think of working on other aspects of settling down in Canada, most important being Jobs.

We all know it would take another 6 months to get our PPR's stamped (Approx by Nov). However, by that time the temperature is very low, thus making it not favorable for Jobs. People living there too opt for short term retirement during Nov till Feb. So we have ample time to plan.

Guys, if you think we should discuss the way forward on this forum, do share, it might help someone somewhere.

Cheers,
S
