regarding IELTS....This is the case where every on got confused.....
In the check list it is mentioned that skill level c & D must have to submit the IELTS because in the earlier system they do not need to submit the IELTS. But it is not mentioned any where that other skill level need not to submit the ielts....i m also from skill level A. I also appeard in IELTS before filling Application at CIC.....So there is no doubt ......Appear in IELTS as early as possible..........

Hmm well.. Gurminder, to be on safe side it is good to appear for the exam. Anyways, i got a reply to my mail sent to colombo regarding the IELTS exam and they said it's not needed. If you can prove your NOC skill level and sure that it is A or B, then you can clearly send them email and they should be able to waive off..

Status : Medicals done and RPRF paid.

RPRF Payment: Paid waiting for the withdrawal from the Embassy

can you please let me know, by how many days you received response from Colombo office. I am in confusion whether to take IELTS or not. Actually the test center is having slot for May25th and again for June 22nd. If i book for May 25th then i cannot cancel it, its too costly $310. and they have given me 30days - june 12th to submit all the documents. what to do

You need to do analysis whether you require to take it or not based on your NOC code. If you are working in canada, then you must have an NOC code (In my case, i hold a TWP based on LMO (Labor market Opinion) which clearly states my NOC code and the occupation).

@@@@ http://www.saskimmigrationcanada.ca/sinp-general-questions @@@ Check this site, it clearly mentions how to analyse our NOC code and decide the category. If you are confident about your category as A or B then you are exempted from the language assessment (IELTS) and you can write back a mail to colombo stating the same.

Have patience dear Its immigration work, you got to wait... I am sure they will exempt you if your Nomination Cert or LMO shows your NOC level A. Don't worry, plan for other things now..

True for delhi but colombo timelines have been reduced to 12 months .

but on my side its shown same 18 months for the colombo VO.
