I just dont understand why this step is not an automated part to just confirm that the photos are in the guidelines they need and the address provided matches the one in the file. Such a simple thing to do and would avoid such long wait times...
They are trying to keep useless job positions... with Covid and stuff people are not landing in person so the person responsible for landing is useless... in order to keep that, this person has to push the button.. but it is not doing at all!! I am still waiting for my Ecopr for almost a month when they could have pushed the button on the same day they received my information. That is ridiculous! Waiting and waiting the whole process... the worst is that I am stuck in Canada without possibility to travel abroad because of the document missing!! I wish I could have responded I am outside Canada instead...I just dont understand why this step is not an automated part to just confirm that the photos are in the guidelines they need and the address provided matches the one in the file. This entire process is just SO delayed and they have so much backlog that they could generate more jobs and hire more people to process all the PR applications, and leave this last step automated. But well, who cares if we are stuck in a country far from our family for over 2 years right... they can probably leave when they want, different from us.They are trying to keep useless job positions... with Covid and stuff people are not landing in person so the person responsible for landing is useless... in order to keep that, this person has to push the button.. but it is not doing at all!! For my fellow inland candidates asked by IRCC email to use the new PR confirmation portal and submitted your address and photo, what's the timeline like? I registered and submitted mine on Dec 8th, but still no eCOPR yet, both the address and photo showing "In Review with IRCC". I've read on multiple places that people would get their address approved and eCOPR available for downloading at the same time, in 1 day to 1 week after submission, so wondering if more people has input on the timeline of this new portal?
Did you received the PR Card? I received my eCOPR 3 weeks ago but PR card is still pending...Before you received the first confirmation portal email, was your PR approved on your cic account?
I received the email yesterday (July 11) and replied back with the details but no response yet. On my cic account, my application still says my background check is in progress.
3 weeks is nothing. I've waited for almost 5 months and still nothing.Did you received the PR Card? I received my eCOPR 3 weeks ago but PR card is still pending...
There are applications which you can download to call IRCC in Canada by usinga VON . Use any app for international calling and try to raise webformIts weirdly reassuring Im not the only one having issues.
Finally got invite to to confirmation portal September, flew all the way to Canada in October to confirm (living abroad now) and was expecting it to come by Christmas.
Getting to the end of January and nothing has happened. They dont even reply to emails. Them or CPC Ottawa. And cant call them as I live in the UK now.
Does anyone have any advice or ways to contact them. Ive had to turn down a job in a hospital as I thought it would be here by now.
thanks, weve tried that before but dont get anywhere when we talk to the call centre. They say there is only so much they can tell us, and that it is still in progress. not anything of substance or ETA.There are applications which you can download to call IRCC in Canada by usinga VON .
