I can hear the deportation squad warming up the vehicles right now - NOT :)

Don't you just want to go to the US/Canada border and cross ten times in single day ?

Is the SIN number issued on the spot and the actual card follows in a few weeks?

No way, I am going to be the perfect permanent resident, canada is lucky to have me haha!!

Not sure my nerves could take it quite yet, I hate border control and immigration and was so nervous and shaky going into America on Saturday, even though I had no reason to be.... and then I was nervous coming back into Canada again...
Still its nice knowing I could... if I wanted to!

Yep. She gave me a printout and the number is on the top. It says to expect the SIN card within 10 working days. It was easy! :)

I just want my PPR to come through, currently visiting hubby here in Canada, then I can send passport back to uk, then get my SIN and be able to work. This visiting hubby is great but living in limbo land is a killer lol

Living in Limbo, I know all about that. I feel like I've had my life on hold for pretty much the last 4 years. And now knowing I can finally move on its such a relief!
Where in Canada are you?

I bet it's such a relief, northern Ontario.

We didn't expect the whole process to be easy- if things are easy in life then they aren't worth it lol but the waiting game with no news is the hardest. No issues with police checks done, medical clear - never even had a speeding fine in my life ( yes very boring lol) so the only thing I can think of slowing it down is the fact they are going through the list of places I took holidays in the last ten years. Also when I got here to Canada we checked with the MTO and I could apply for my Ontario driving licence as a visitor, so my UK was sent back to the UK. So other than that, not quite sure what could slowing the process down - haven't done anything illegal and would certainly not do anything to jeopardise the process we are going through.

PPRs seem to be coming on a wednesday (they have for the past 2 weeks, derwig then MandP) maybe its a pattern or a coincidence? Whatever it is London needs to send them out to more than one person at a time!
