Hey, so i'll answer your question again, I posted it from canada on Feb 28th, it arrived in London on March 4th and it arrived in my mail box today (yey!) April 8. 35 days from London receiving it to me getting it back.mmhughes said:Hey All! Just a quick poll-type question. How long did it take you to have your passport returned when you submitted it to the London office? Ours got to the London office on the 21st of March and we are still waiting for it to be returned. Just wanted some sort of time line to go by.
Cheers!

But so relieved phew!
I'll be landing tomorrow and feeling nervous about it!!
We'll try to! I agree with your lessons learned.mmhughes said:Just wanted to share an update with you all. My husband got through to an operator at the Canadian Consulate in London and she said that it can take up to 6 weeks and you can't do anything about it no matter what your situation is. She wasn't very sympathetic at all. We sent an email out too but we highly doubt that will make any difference. It's unfortunate not so much about the plane ticket but my huband was offered a job that he'll lose now because this company is super busy and desperately needs another person on board. Great job that has slipped through his fingers. On the bright side of things at least he will have his PR soon and will be able to live in Canada and we'll finally be reunited. And of course we still have our birthdays.
What have we learned from this? Hand it in personally! Even if you live all the way in Leeds!
Have a great weekend
Landed at the Lewiston bridge. Was in and out in about 20 mins so all went well. Now i'm officially a permanent resident of Canada woohoo!!!heleng said:Awesome!! happy you finally got it back! just the landing to go...... enjoy it. Where in Canada are you landing?
Unless you commit a nefarious crime and get caught ;Dpinklady said:Landed at the Lewiston bridge. Was in and out in about 20 mins so all went well. Now i'm officially a permanent resident of Canada woohoo!!!
Pinklady and ftgpmb, thanks for this information and positivity. I'm not holding my breath that my hubby will get his passport back in time as it will be only twenty-something days, but I do have a little hope. Now I'm crossing my fingers that he'll be home in time for the Easter break! My family and I are supposed to introduce him to a Sugar Shack!ftgpmb said:We'll try to! Today is 25 days since received at the CHC London. The day before we fly would be 31 days. Pinklady just got hers back on day 35 in Canada, so there is still hope ...
