Anyone know what time they usually update the on-line system on Tuesdays to check your application status?

There is a thread on here in regards to dates and times in which most of the activity happens but a lot of people see activity on Thursdays at 8:30am. Lots lately on Fridays tho! ;D I will see if I can find you the link

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I was curious today so I ran the stats on the e-CAS tracker. Turns out the numbers shifted a bit since last time (lots more people have used the tracker since then.) Tuesday is actually the busiest day for e-CAS, but there are still more updates - overall - the rest of the week. So, it's definitely not the case that it only updates on Tuesdays.

Updates by day (%) - doesn't include when e-CAS first starts working, just when they update it...

Mon 20%
Tue 40%
Wed 8%
Thu 10%
Fri 9%
Sat 8%
Sun 5%

Can someone please explain the whole e-cas thing to me?
I posted my application on January 17th with next day delivery so they will have received it on the 18th January.
I have used the search thing using my receipt number and my sponsors name and details as they were on the receipt.
Should I put my details on the search information? Either way it comes up with saying it was not found.
The application process time checker pages says it was updated january 19th with 43 days and working on december 15th applications. When will this be updated?
I am very anxious! I know I only posted it last week but I can't stop checking!!!

How will i know when this is? Will my spouse get an email or a letter?

I'm ecstatic right now. Just checked ECAS and this is what it said...was beginning to think that my application was lost in the post...

We received XXX application for permanent residence on November 24, 2010.

We started processing XXXX application on January 21, 2011.

Medical results have been received.

Just to give you my time frame for guidance I sent it out to Mississauga the end of September and ECAS didn't update (or even become active) until November. We also got a letter in the mail. So for your own sanity. I wouldn't check so much, well, not within the first month. Also, you can sign up for email notifications here https://ecas.carroll.org.uk/

Wish you luck.

With evidence aside, would a person born in the UK who is english and white being sponsored by their spouse who is a Canadian born english white person have a quicker process than people who are of a different race?

I shouldn't think so. Background checks, number of countries your partner has lived in and how long your back ground check takes to come back will come into factor in addition to whether or not the IO needs additional documentation or an interview request is made will all come into play. Also, the number of applicants at the time you applied will definitely increase their work load. Some VO's have extended their timelines for 80% approval rate based on that recently.

On average you are looking at 4-5 months if all goes smoothly.

Congrats mmhughes on getting contact, the London VO must have been really busy today, as I also got an update on eCas, not on my own but on my husband's - i still can't log onto my own, although I am really not bothered considering the really quick timeline! His says...

Absolutely not - It has nothing to do with race. However, if your country is renown for "fake marriages" or has a corrupt government then it may take longer. You can check out the CIC website that includes timelines for various offices around the world. For example Columbia has a much longer waiting time than the US or the UK.

Overall Canada is a very multicultural and accepting country. So when the CIC officer looks at the application and the photos, he/she should be "colour blind".

Thanks so much for everyone's congratulations! I'm hoping to hear back within 4-6 weeks (based on other timelines)...keeping my fingers crossed :)
