Hi Taffy,

Im new to forum and a silent reader most of the times. I login everyday to forum. Lol i wont lie, when 2015 applicants get a decision made i get frustrated. I always wanted to send an email to london on their unfairness. I have a two year old daughter as well.. and shes still waiting for her dad to arrive in Canada. Her birthday is today and all we going to do is celebrate on skype call. Oh well just taking my frustration out i guess....

Lol i sent two emotional emails to LVO on behalf of my husband past couple of months stating..i want to be with her to watch her grow and be want to celebrate her birthday in Canada. They always reply within 24 hours stating your application is in final process or final review. Went to MP but wasnt much help.

Its been 4 months since the application is in final stages ......

And we both really need a good luck and hopefully the wait will end sooonnn... 19 months are more than enough wait to build a dream home.

I'm with you on that Mary we sure do need some good karma. My husband is with me now, he arrived at the end of August. It was a big step giving up our home in the U.K and leaving his job to come to Canada and not be 100% sure the application will be successful.
We have how ever made alternative plans if we need to go back home.

We rented out our house and i have a job lined up for when and if we need to return. I have family both sides of the pond, but i would prefer to live here closer to my adult children but who knows.

Wow, I feel blessed to be honest.

One quick question I mentioned before if you don't mind too.

When I complete the 'Appendix B - Updated Information Chart' should I include my Sponsor under the 'Spouse or Partner' section? I am the Principal Applicant but myself and my Sponsor are living in the UK right now. We'll be returning to Canada together but obviously I'm the only one that is being granted PR as she is already a citizen. I just want to know if I need to put her down alongside me or just myself?

You just need to fill in your information as PA

Andrew- Less than a week ago you were the one giving me words of encouragement when i was getting frustrated about the waiting period until DM showed on my Ecas.
Please be patient you are almost there, I can DM :) showing very soon on your Ecas.

Do we get different type of Notes/Information applied under different acts i.e. Access to Information Act vs Privacy Act

If so then under which Act shall I apply for Notes?

If you are the applicant and presently in Canada, u shld apply under privacy act and it's free. But if u are applying on behalf of someone who is not in Canada, u shld apply under access to information act for a $5 fee CAD.

Hi guys

Im new to this forum as I have only just sent of my application to Mississauga for PR. I was wondering if anybody could help me, how long after your application was seen as received (on the track your package section of the delivery service you used) did you actually receive confirmation from CIC via an email response? It has been 2 weeks now and I have not had any contact from CIC.

thank you

Hi, it usually takes about a month to hear off CIC. You should receive AOR (Acknowledgment of Receipt) between 4 and 6 weeks after your application was received. I found the FAQ link on Andrewbrit's signature really helpful to understand the various stages. Have a read of it and it will make understanding the process easier :D

Hi Guys, any of you out there had any experience with shipping stuff from UK to Canada and can offer some good companies or tips? How it works, how long, best shipping companies, etc....

Thank you! :) :) :)

I used Anglo-Pacific and had a really good experience with them. They literally picked them up from my place in England for free and delivered them to my new place in Canada exactly when they said they would. They know how long the sea freight will take so they advised me about when to send it in relation to when I was flying here. I got a variety of quotes and was able to talk them down, so don't go with their first quote! They bumped nearly 30% of the first quote they gave me when I spoke about going with another company and I asked for another about 25% off and they also gave that to me. They gave me a step by step process about what to do with customs along with all the forms so it was simple. I don't know about other's experiences but I found the process went easily as long as paperwork was completed.

Wow, since posting this I received an email from LVO requesting:

Right of Permanent Residence Fee
Please advise your sponsor to pay this fee in Canada ($490 Cdn). This payment cannot be accepted in the UK. It must be paid in Canada in accordance with the instructions in the sponsorship kit. The receipt should be sent to CPC-Mississauga.
Client Information
You have provided insufficient documentation to prove, that you and your sponsor, ***** have continuously co-habited for at least 12 months since 2012. Please provide further official correspondence in joint or own names, that links you and your sponsor to the same address or addresses for a continuous 12 month period.

This is exciting but kind of strange. I provided letters from housemates, house tenancy agreements, utility bills. I'm not sure what else to provide??
