Hi guys

Im new to this forum as I have only just sent of my application to Mississauga for PR. I was wondering if anybody could help me, how long after your application was seen as received (on the track your package section of the delivery service you used) did you actually receive confirmation from CIC via an email response? It has been 2 weeks now and I have not had any contact from CIC.

Is the primary applicant British/reside in the UK? If so would you like to be added to the spreadsheet (link is in my signature)?

If so please provide the following (provide the parts you know):

-Date application received in Mississauga
-Whether you applied as Married or Common-Law
-Date of sponsor approval
-Which office is processing Phase 2 of your application (will say on your sponsor approval letter/email)
-Date the permanent residence status changed to In Process on ECAS
-Date(s) of any other requests you've had
-Whether or not the principal applicant is non-visa exempt (if non-visa exempt provide the applicant's nationality)
-Current location of the principal applicant- closest major city is fine if you don't want to be too specific!
-Date of medical exam

Congratulations, Kasiap, and thank you for the information. CIC received our passport copies and photos today so I expect to do my flagpoling next month so this information is useful.

I think the problem was that our tenancy agreement date was hand written by the Estate Agent. I will wing out a bunch of fresh docs tomorrow morning.

I suppose that it is a good sign that I have been assigned an MP so early, however I assume that every request I get from LVO with a 45 day limit of correspondence delays my process by that time too.

Possibly, but sometimes they continue once they have your docs, either way if this is the last request then even if they wait 45 days you could have your visa in 2 months, although you applied in August 2015 so I would be surprised if they are ready to approve applications from Aug 2015 but LVO has surprised me before.

No one here can tell you how long. The spreadsheet shows when other non-visa exempt applicants got DM and then got the PPR, so you can look there. Ultimately CIC decides.

Yeah Andrew every one has different time than others.. difficult to judge just have to wait and patience the most difficult thing

This is all depends on luck... 2014 applications are not holding because of 2015 applicants...

RE : Shipping - We used Excess baggage from the UK, they were pretty good and same deal door to door. Pretty cheap on it's own but price goes up a lot with optional insurance.

General question :
Since my application was only received April 1st I was not expecting to get DM until new year at the earliest. However the massive flurry of London activity recently has made me think otherwise! I know it's not right to expect DM now but one thing that has me thinking is almost every person before me who does not have DM has had some kind of request for documents, fees or explanation. There are not many, if any before me who've heard nothing. Makes me wonder if I should at least send an e-mail asking for an update? I worry that e-mailing them will in some way delay things. I feel like they don't like being contacted and it's best to just let them get on with it.

The other possibility is they sent my wife (my sponsor) an e-mail or other correspondence and it got lost (however we did receive one e-mail in relation to her name change back in May and it came through fine). If a message did get lost and you didn't reply would CIC send another one or something in the mail?

I may well be days away or months and it's all legit but better to be cautious and think ahead than sorry later on.

So I recieved this from CIC last Tuesday:

Please be advised that, in order for us to continue processing your application, we require the following:

Medical examination results. Please be advised that our medical department is currently having difficulty in tracking your medical results. In order to expedite this, please provide a copy of the e-medical Information Sheet displaying either a UMI # or an IME #. If necessary, please contact the Designated Medical Practitioner/Panel Physician where the medical was completed in order to obtain further information.

Please submit the requested documentation/information to us within 10 days including a copy of this email as a cover letter. Please submit all the above documents to us at the same time, quoting your file number (shown in the subject line above) on all correspondence.

I did post about it asking for any advice, since the short 10 day limit sounded like they wanted an email, but the "cover letter" sounded like they wanted it mailed to them. I didn't hear back from you guys so I did both.

The forms are still "In Transit" when I was told they would take 3-5 business days so slightly nervous there but my question is has anyone received a small time window like this before? and what happens if you're overdue by a day or two? (assuming they wanted me to post the forms and the email I sent isn't good enough).
