Thanks, im hoping it is a good sign, I just dont understand why they request a photocopy of my passport when I had to send at least 1 with the initial application. Plus my application is being processed in Ottawa but the photocopies had to go to London

Status update Decision made 16th March I received a final request email and was requested to send a photocopy of my passport along with 2 passport photos. Does anyone know if this is a good sign????

Ok great so I don't have to worry about the drama of sending my passport off, I just send the photocopy and then worry about the ETa before I land in Canada! That makes everything a lot easier. Is that what you had to do?

So even though I will require an ETa when I land in Canada it does not change the fact I am visa exempt and only need to send photocopies of my passport and not the actual passport itself. The confusing part is in the email CIC give a link to help you determine if you are visa exempt or not...

I have also heard the same thing regarding the two opinions of why applications stay within Canada. I like you hope that it stays in Canada for the first reason that our applications are indeed straight forward.
