Hey everyone currently changing from an IEC work permit to visitor status. I'm stuck on a question on the form

I am applying for one or more of the following : option 1: Initial Temp resident permit or extension of temp resident permit option 2: Extension of my temp resident status

Plus London has approved 4 applications per month in the last 3 months, here is hoping they stick to that or even better approve more!

That is a rather depressing fact given that there are 60 applications ahead of me Fingers crossed everything speeds up!

Why are the London Visa office so slow?

Hello guys,

My wife just had a baby and I have informed LVO about this. They have replied asking me to scan a copy of the birth certificate to them. I was expecting them to also include details of other documents to complete like IMM008.

Do I send to LVO all of the documents I think should be sent or just the birth certificate they have requested and just wait for further correspondence from them?

Hi guys, a quick update for the spreadsheet

AOR was received May 16.
SA 'correspondence was sent' June 19. Didn't actually get anything till I called them and they sent an email a few days later with the SA letter.

App is going to London office :'(

Whats the next sign of movement we should be watching for on the app? ECAS still shows the application as "Received" - does that change when they actually start looking at it?

And according to the spreadsheet - nobody submitted in June and only 3 in May? Is this normal?

Received a fresh version of notes today. Our files eligibility assessment is still shown under review required. Amongst last months notes, the note which described the eligibility assessment process only had a dump of some of the proof we submitted and nothing regarding the VOs thoughts on the case, it did say that eligibility required review though. However, this time the same note had the VOs opinion and it didnt make for good reading. It read that he found it really unusual that me and my wife knew each other for 4 years and the marriage was not arranged, concluding that perhaps we were portraying the relationship as western so that it would be taken more positively. Said nothing about the 4 years of pictures, chat logs, cards, phone records that we submitted to prove our relationship. So it looks like conforming to cultural norms is more credible to these guys than the proof we submit. Anyway, what is even more unusual is the fact that they extended our medical in February before my wife went in for her remedical in March, dont they do this when they are of the opinion that the file in question will be processed swiftly? Secondly eligibility has not been reviewed since January (according to the dates logged on the note) and we are yet to receive a request for further proof and/or an interview. Really dont know what to make of it all.

Adil, I hope it just means the person was thinking out loud, and put his/her thoughts in writing. It would be a concern if they believed "Pakistani's can't have love marriage, and only arrange marriage is acceptable". things have drastically changed over the years, and even religiously a girl/boy has every right to refuse or choose his/her partner. I hope there is no call for an interview, and if there is, please make sure you take all the proofs. And let them know that our parents are very much involved in the process, but it is all our decision in the end. At least the notes will get you somewhat prepared. Good luck!

Some people do not find or post on this this forum until well after submitting their application and unfortunately the data collected would never be accurate to how many people submitted their application in any month or year due to the fact that not everyone finds this site or has access to it. Also some people don't bother being added to the spreadsheet.

I would certainly hope that London has processed more than 8 applications in the last two months!

Royal Mail says my package I sent to Canadian High Comission was delivered to "Victoria PDO". I'm really confused since that was not where I sent my package...I used the adress provided in the email from CIC ???

Hello all!

Just a quick question about changing one's address. Should I notify the CIC office at the London embassy or Ottawa since that is where my application is being processed. Little confused because my SA letter asked for documents to be sent to Ottawa but a change of address is typically handled by London for UK PR applicants.


...or both and cover both basis ;D
