Hey guys, Just a quick question. I sent my application off around the middle of last month and it was delivered at the CPC in Mississauga on 19th May. It is now 26th June and I haven't heard anything back yet. I assume everything is ok but it's a little unnerving thinking that I haven't even been given a reference number or any confirmation of receipt! Please let me know your thoughts and put my mind at rest if needs be!!

Hi!

You most probably won't hear anything until Sponsor Approval. For that they are working on applications received April 29th.... so you may have a little while to wait yet...sorry! This was mine, and others first communication from CIC, I agree it makes it very unnerving!

Well, that will a year tomorrow since I applied. Still not in progress and still sitting at application received. I don't ever see an end to this at the moment.

So sorry Scotmoose, I really feel for you. Fingers crossed for you, chin up

To be honest... I feel the same as you... like it's never going to happen. Sitting on implied status as my visitor visa ran out and they are taking 3 months to process extensions, so I lose my driving license in 4 days too! At least we know we are not alone I guess :(

I know how you feel, I can't even swap my licence to a New Brunswick one without my visa :( also as I don't have a credit card, I can't even hire a car at the moment and again can't get one without my visa. A year to wait is just madness

I can't see an end so hubbie has just booked a flight for September for a visit ... I haven't see him since January

Even if you take the June date for you... that 15 months. You may get lucky and make it a one-way trip... I'm hope so at least. Sending good vibes... your time must come soon!

Thanks Mec , it would be nice. I needed something positive to look forward too. So we will take what we can .

I know how it feels... You have clearly been waiting longer than me. I applied in September 2014 and it went to London. Looking at you guys, it seems it will be past September 2015 before I hear anything... But I'm sure we will get through this successfully, look back and smile! I think your time will come very soon! All the best !

Well I have some good news! Just picked up my COPR from the post office :) Technically it arrived yesterday so that is a day over 15 months end to end.

A couple of notes: My medical was extended to May 2016, although I plan on making a trip to Niagra this weekend to land. I was granted conditional PR, despite the fact we had been living together for 4 years when I applied, although married a little under 2 so that number took priority.

Happy the wait is finally over.
