Expect 8-12 months from the date Mississauga received it. A few users got the same message (saying 8-12 months from when your file goes in process, and they had their visa in a few weeks from that email).

Hence the "it may not be relevant in your situation". I fully expect people to research things for themselves, and not go down a path based entirely on a forum post. Just pointing out that this option works for me and may work for others. I haven't specifically looked at the rules for British applicants as it is not relevant to my situation. Although it is is a potential option for people in the future provided they apply when the quotas are released and it is an option for applicants on this forum going through LVO from other eligible countries (e.g. Australians!). Although the British quotes have been filled for the year there are still places available for applicants from other European countries.

Incorrect x 100 might be an overstatement. Can we try and keep things on here a bit more supportive? Constructive criticism maybe? I follow this forum to help with this very stressful process we are all going through, and none of us need more stress! ... Time to return to being a silent spectator

(To give you a better sense of the expected processing time for new Family Class applications received in London, we are currently putting into active processing the applications received in London from July to September 2014.

We hope this is of assistance.)

Someone got a reply back from LVO and was poated on the other thread and it seems like they are now working on July to September 2014 files. Are these the dates when the complete file was transferred to LVO or when the complete file was received in CPC-M.

I read that reply too on a thread . I received an email from London saying that your file was transferred to us August 6th 2014 please add the sponsorship time + processing of of this office .We are unable to give you an exact time frame.You application is currently waiting officer review.

Danniejean, you're on the LONDON thread. The assumption is that advice given here is applicable to Brits. Your post said nothing about those circumstances being the case for Australians. It read as if it would be an option fly the op, hence my correction. Advice is appreciated but it needs to be clear and not misleading.

Finally got my email "letter" from CIC.

Sponsorship: Approved
Visa Office: London

Boo....

Now we wait until next year like the rest of you good folks, I suppose.

so I recived an email from CPC-Ottawa today saying that my application have reached the final stage and that there is a few documents I need to send the office in London, UK. Passport copy, Updated Information chart and two new immigration photos. So is this the last step? Im sending it all off tomorrow, how long can I expect for my COPR to come?

We have everything we need to add you to the spreadsheet except for your location. Closest city is fine if you do not want to be too specific.

This is your passport request so you are not far away, probably a month or so from receiving your visa.

So... I came home to a missed delivery from Canada Post, and the tracking number tells me it's a letter posted from London the day before ECAS updated to DM. Pretty optimistic that is my COPR

Annoyingly I'll not be able to pick it up until tommorw evening so it will be a long day!!!

I thought they issued them from Ottawa if you are in Canada, but as I never received a request for updated photos I guess not! Fingers crossed.
