Hello everyone. I'm usually a silent reader on here and the information on here is invaluable! Thank you to everyone for their input. I'm a Canadian citizen sponsoring my husband. Our application was recieved oct 7, 2014 and approved and sent to London dec 17,2014. My question is the email we provided for my husband is not accessible anymore. I think that's a a problem because they will contact my husband via email for re medical and PPR. How should I go about updating that? Should I use that case specific enquiry but would that take too long and they take up to 30 days to reply? Or should I call them. Please let me know! Thanks!

CIC requested for passport, and two photographs on Jun 11. There were two options: 1) If you are in London then send to London office 2) if you are in Canada then send to Ottawa office.
Since I am in Canada already I sent it to Ottawa. Any idea how long does it take now to receive passport back and also COPR?

Wow has the London office just come to a stand still? I only see 2 visa's being approved. I know it's just what's on the spreadsheet and isn't the full picture but this is concerning. I wish something could be done, seems so unfair applications through Mississuaga are being processed in 3-5 months and the same scenarios of straight forward applications are taking over 300 days via London. I know no one likely has an answer but just writing this makes me feel better. If you do have some light to shine on this it would mean a lot. My husband and I have been apart since November and it's such a sad way to live our first year marriage.

Yeah it's annoying, everyone has been whining about this the last few weeks/months. Not sure what to tell you. We don't know why some applications go to London and some go to Mississauga. We do know it's happening to HELP London's work load. Your app was received in October so I'm going to guess you still have a few months to wait. However there is nothing to stop the non-Canadian from waiting in Canada as a visitor, or the Canadian from being in the UK either. Don't froget Canada is pretty much the only country that gets you straight to PR if you married a Canadian within about a year, and if you wanted to be able to work faster then you did have the option of applying inland and getting a work permit after 4 months. I know it probably doesn't help much but the waiting game is the waiting game and yeah it's annoying but you do have options ot be together. Good luck!

Do you want to be added to the spreadsheet? It's a great way to say thanks for the advice you receive on here and we always appreciate having more data as it makes the spreadsheet more accurate. If so then I need to know wher eyou're living, then I can get yo uadded as you've provided everything else. As for contacting London, send both an email and a cas-especific enquiry, instructions for both are in the FAQ linked in my signature. They often reply way faster than 30 days.

Not certain on this one as most applicants on the spreadsheet are visa-exempt, all i can say is check the Notes column for non-visa applicants on the spreadsheet and see if that gives any idea. I wouldn't want to guess because I'd be just guessing.

Sorry to hear that Taffy7, I'm going to apply for notes at the 12 month mark I think.

Can't decide whether to email LVO re my medicals expiring next month or not. I have a feeling that I will get a "oh thanks for bringing that to our attention, please pay for another medical' response back! I'm thinking leave well alone and hope they extend them like they have done to a few others...

Still, at least I have the worry that they won't extend my visitor visa to distract me :o :o

You will most likely get the "we may ask to to redo, but we may not, we'll be in touch when we review your file" response. That seems to be most common!

I would say no harm sending the email, and can be reassuring to get any kind of response from London!

Sorry to hear Taffy. I was hoping some progress for you since your March notes.

I am going to order again in July although I expect nothing different.

I really wish it was based on first come first serve. It seems some VOs are much slower than others. :(
