According to the official version of LVO, they are currently working on files moved there in the months of June – August 2014 (as per some forum members' communication). You are right, the London outland spreadsheet shows only two DMs whereas the spreadsheet of Pakistani applicants via London shows there are four DMs plus atleast two more approvals this week.(spreadsheet not updated though)

Hi GISGeek, are there people in the London spreadsheet who have received decision made/COPR but the spreadsheet is not updated? I regularly chase up applicants from 2013/early 2014, some people respond, some do not. Any info is appreciated.

Here is the link of the "Timeline of Spouse Sponsorship for Pakistan Applicants", which I was referring to. Comparing it with the one you and Schnoo maintaining will give you the better idea. There are many Pakistani applicants who are in the first timesheet but not in the one you maintain.

Yes you are right sometimes people don't bother to respond, but I will let you know if there is any progress. On a weekly basis I track both the sheets with microscopic eyes, so far London timesheet is fine and updated.

I called CIC this morning regarding no SA email/mail.

The agent told me that he has log a note in the system regarding the issue and asked me to wait for a month more for the email (so I just think they are buying time). According to him, this may be due to some mistakes in their system or handling of our application (not sure if this is true) and he has asked the officer looking after the application to generate the letter and email to me, through the note.

Standard post-weekend multi-post catchup... plus I've been on holiday a few days with overseas company staying wtih us, so have not been around as much. Next two weeks will be similar. :) Here we go.

Does anyone on know if the process can be different for applications in the visa offices depending on what country the applicant is from?

In my case Im a little confused cause Im from Sweden so my office was suppose to be London but my application was sent to Ottawa instead, not really sure why since it seems like thats were the US applicants are beeing processed?

Will my process be any different from theirs? Can I expect the same timeline as the american applications? I know we have a very straight forward application, no criminal record, lots of proof of relationship, no dependants etc....

I'd love some input! Thanks!

Generally, the Ottawa spreadsheet will be useful for you tracking your app through Ottawa. The timelines may not be exactly identical, but it might give you a bit of an idea. The country does have something of an effect, but I'd expect there to be less of an effect if it's all western countries. (For example, UK and US applications through Ottawa don't appear to be much different; British and Pakistani applicants through London are vastly different.)

Hey all! I'm preparing my common-law PR application, hoping to have it done in a month or so. I just checked the processing times and London's had jumped up to 29 months! :o It was about a year when I last checked. Since I'm currently living in Canada on a study permit, should I apply inland instead? Would that be any faster? I was really hoping to get PR by the end of summer 2016, but I guess that's pretty much impossible now. :( Thanks Harper.

Read the FAQ, the spreadsheet, and pretty much any post on this thread as it has been discussed a thousand and one times. Seriously, 10 seconds of searching would have found you the answer.

You aren't on the spreadsheet, it would be great to add you, AndrewBrit has posted everything we need from you... it's a great way to say thanks. Though I'm guessing you're now disappearing as you have COPR. Anyway, it would be nice to get you on there.

I have a couple of questions..

1 Do I, as an applicant, have to Land in the same city as written on my COPR or I can land, first time, anywhere in Canada?

2 Can there b a possibility that COR expiry date is 2 months more, from the date of medical expiry..why is it so in my case then?
In this case, is it safe to land before a week of COPR expiry OR should I land before my medical expires?

thanks and all da best!!

1. No, you do not have to land in the same city, but I would not suggest landing in Quebec as their process for immigration is slightly different.

2. Ugh, please try to write in proper english, it's so much easier to read. Anyway. COPR will be issued with an expiry date of one year from your medical. If that date is too close, then read the FAQ on what to do about expiring medicals. It explains the possible routes CIC will take, and how it affects you. You will have to land by whatever date is on your COPR document. Doesn't matter if you are right on the date (my husband landed 4 days before COPR expired), as long as you land on or before the date your COPR document expires.

Sending you a PM about this. :)

wouldn't be so much better if Pak applicants just joined this spreadsheet instead of creating another for better updates. I feel like i am going back and forth. There are people from August/Sept of last who have received COPR or decision made on their application from Pakistan.

I think your case is family sponsorship not the spousal sponsor one. It is really hard for us to tell you when you will receive the medical request. In the spousal sponsorship most of the people do upfront medical whereas people who don't go for upfront medical are asked for the same in 8-9 months after their files are moved to LVO, thus they delay their cases 1-2 months further.

You better check the forum pages which deal with family class other than the spousal.

Just a quick update to our app - we received AOR on May 16th via email (surprised they send emails on long weekends but I guess its automated).
As of today ECAS is showing "In Process", started processing May 15th. Fingers crossed for a speedy response!

Could someone please update the SS?

Also thank you everyone for maintaining the spreadsheet, contributing to it, and this forum! I lurk a lot here, but the information here has been invaluable.

Hi Shoonkololy or Andrew-bit or senior members,

I like to rephrase my question, so please answer it ..thanks for the patience though...

I received COPR and date of expiry of COPR is 20 September 2015 whereas my date of medical expiry, I am assuming, is 25 August 2015 (coz I did my first and last medical on 25 August 2014 and they never say, in gcms notes, that they have extended my medical)

so under this background, I have a query as follows....
can I land on 15th sept. 2015, (5 days before my COPR expire)? Will it be fine or problematic coz my medical already expired on 25 August 2015..?

Thanks guys!!

Have you received sponsor approval? Does ECAS show "In Process" under Permanent Residence Application Status or under Sponsorship Application Status?

Your medical is irrelevant now . You just have to land before your corp date.

Thanks guys!!

As Taffy said, the date on your COPR is the one that matters. Use that.

Sorry I didnt realize there were two statuses.
SA : In process
PR : Received

Edit: Medical received under PR app. Medical was done March 12.

We have the same issue - no letter, no email (although they say we have SA and the file is off to London), and told to wait a month before asking them to send a replacement.

Something is wrong there somewhere as there are clearly a few of us that have gone through something similar - it's an absolute disgrace really.
