Minor update on the Saudi Police check, the lawyers are a bit confused as to why suddenly London Office decided to physically mail the request for a police check seeing as the last one was done by email. They are also waiting on the actual letter* which was, for some reason, NOT mailed to us. This letter is required in order to actually start the police check process within Saudi. This mess up has cost us 3 weeks of the 8 week dead line given to us by them.

Due to this rather large twice over screw up by the high commission, the lawyers believe that should we be unable to obtain the police check within the remaining time that we'll be allowed a grace period. Which is very useful as my husband is schedule to arrive in Saudi Sept 11th and not allowed to leave the rig until Oct 8th (3-4 days before the end date we've been given).

*The formal request for police check.

Yes it is a big shock to me too! I thought it wouldn't be done till the 11 months were up
Well when they requested the photocopy of my passport and extra photos, they also asked for me to send a self-addressed A4 sized envelope so I'm pretty sure my COPR will be in that envelope. Well I reckon anyway, you know how unclear they can be sometimes.
I wrote my current address on the envelope which is England

Congratulations!
This is great news
I hope everyone's application gets approved with such efficiency :D

Hi,

Is it possible to be added to the family class sponsorship spreadsheet?

Application received 24th April 2014.

Sponsor Approved 7th July 2014.

In Process on ECAS 15th July 2014 (medical received).

Any thoughts on where we are in the timeline?

Hi, Welcome

I also need to know:
1) Married or Common Law
2) City that COPR will be mailed to. (The location given to CIC for the principal applicant)

So today I received my GCMS notes ( I ordered them originally as I thought my COPR was lost in the mail but wasn't)

Its quite interesting, my original due date in July was changed to 20th August - although I received COPR on the 1st Aug

It appears no security check was done, only criminality - I thought there were two checks both criminality and security

Also my whole file was passed on the 30th June, the same day I got In Process on ECAS

Under final documents, it says my COPR was created on the 10th July (I got DM on the 14th) but was not printed until the 29th July when I emailed them

Finally in my notes section it says few photos submitted but the photos show couple comfortable together in intimate relationship, family aware, satisfied this is a bona fide relationship

In my eyes that shows that evidence is QUALITY over quantity

Lastly it now says file stored in registry status retired... I guess that's me done now until the time comes for citizenship :)

I thought I would just share this with others still waiting

Thanks for that, very interesting! I plan to order in October to receive in November since we have now purchased tickets to go to Canada in December...just to see whats up and where we are at! Some of the speedy time frames on the spreadsheet have got me excited :)

Hey guys,

I don't know if it's only me, but there seems to be a problem with the first page of the London VO spreadsheet. The diagram on the cover page doesn't appear anymore and the table about the last 20 decisions is empty :(

I don't think this has been addressed in the forum yet, but I do apologize if it has.

Yes I see what you mean

Schnookoloy will probably fix it, she is the spreadsheet guru

I imagine someone will be along to fix it sometime today

You all have been my fount of information through this process and I was wondering if someone could help me de-code a paragraph from my ATIP notes:

‘SCC: No adverse foss for PI and Sponsor. PI previously had worker permit approved - RCMP check initiated in GCMS. Following clean pc’s on file: UK pc on file dates 11/10/2013. File to map for review.’

I can understand some of it but don't know what SCC, clean pc's/pc or a map for review is.. anyone know?

We'd also love to be added to the spreadsheet:

Application received February 12, 2014
Sponsor approved February 12, 2014 (we actually sent the application in November 2014 but had a couple issues with the Mississauga office which is why I think these dates are the same - long story!)
Common-law
London

Thank you!

Mine said almost exactly the same thing

PC is police certificate
SCC I think is security certificate clearance
MAP I don't know, but mine said that then after MAP it got assigned to a visa officer so it could be a computer system or a person?!

Hey all,

We received SA today - delighted!

It appears our application is being held in Mississauga for stage 2 processing, rather than being sent to London. I know a few have been going to Ottawa. Hope this bodes well for a speedy process.

Cheers :)

Sometimes it glitches a bit, not sure why, usually with a refresh it will work again. ;D

Added. Was the application lost/ misplaced from Nov? Basically, were the issues a result of a CIC error or missing documents? Would you mind giving me the date you sent it to Mississauga? Having the processing time as '0' makes it seem a bit funky (if not, that's fine too. ) :)

Congratulations on your SA! How bizarre that they keep sending applications everywhere except for London!
