Hi,

Is it possible to be added to the family class sponsorship spreadsheet?

Application received 24th April 2014.

Sponsor Approved 7th July 2014.

In Process on ECAS 15th July 2014 (medical received).

Any thoughts on where we are in the timeline?

Looking at your dates I would have said you are near the beginning of the process

Just to clarify, you got your SA on 7th July

And on ECAS under the applicants info it says In Process 15th July? That has got to be one of the quickest I've seen!

If your ECAS is saying in process you could be more to nearing the end of the process

There seems to be no order to applications received at the moment, some are going super fast and some are slower

Thanks for the feedback difficult to know where you are when there are so many conflicts in timescales. Yes, SA on 7th July 2014, the PA status went into 'In process' the same time as they started processing our application (15th July 2014) with no further updates since.

Yh it is difficult especially now with some peoples apps going to Ottawa as well

Usually DM follows in Process pretty quick, but I would say for you guys perhaps anywhere between 1-3 months - this is just my best guess going from the spreadsheet

Perhaps you could order your GCMS notes? they do take 30 days to arrive but that will tell you status of your background checks, if those are in process or complete you will be nearing the end but if there not started yet then you could still have a while to wait

I think they are worthwhile obtaining and since you already have in process since July I would say its a good idea to get them, just to see what stage your background checks are at

They also contain any notes written by the VO, if there are any potential red flags or anything that could be causing a delay then these will be on your GCMS notes

If your confused by anything try searching the forum as there are a lot of topics on ordering GCMS notes... I think there may even be a video somewhere..

As for the apps being processed in Ottawa.. there is only speculation at this point

Some people are saying its London's overflow being sent their and others are saying only certain more straight forward cases are going there

What this will do to processing times is unclear at the moment it will either be quicker, if it is more clear cut cases going there or it will be slower - as a general rule of thumb VO's dealing with cases from another country are slower e.g. Islamabad through London etc

Thank you for the feedback, will try the GSMS route like the idea of knowing at least a little of whats going on!

Will keep a eye on the spreadsheet to compare with similar apps.

My husband was accepted as a Sponsor on 6th August 2014 then the application was sent to London
On 21st August I received an email requesting extra photos and a photocopy of my passport (I didnt need to send my actual passport)
Also on the same day my application changed from 'application received' to 'decision made'( quick I know!)
I am currently waiting for a reply as we speak and hope I receive my copr in the next few weeks

I think Graihn is just amazed as I am! My application was received on the 30th June and Sponsorship Approved on the 21st August...I'm super excited that it looks possible to fly through! I won't hold my breath though....just check online every day ha ha

Added. Where is your COPR being sent to? We are trying to track arrival times for different places. Congratulations! I think Graihn is expressing shock at your speedy processing!

Yes it is a big shock to me too! I thought it wouldn't be done till the 11 months were up
Well when they requested the photocopy of my passport and extra photos, they also asked for me to send a self-addressed A4 sized envelope so I'm pretty sure my COPR will be in that envelope. Well I reckon anyway, you know how unclear they can be sometimes.
I wrote my current address on the envelope which is England
