Can you please explain what these "ordered notes" are about? Who orders the notes and why?

I agree with everything Chevy said but also wanted to add that since you have just gotten SA, if you chose to order your notes I would wait at least 4 months before doing so. There will not be any useful information before that time most likely

I think it is pretty irrelevant. Mine was assigned to MP01097 and my due date was 2014/03/08........I'm still waiting!

:( Really wish they would hurry up already. You have become a cautionary tale, and the application experience no one wants to have! Any news since I last checked in? Still waiting on background checks?

Thank you. Is Squamish the city that CIC has as the address for the principal applicant. (Not the sponsor). That is where the COPR will be mailed. We are gathering this information so that people know generally how long they will have to wait after decision made for their COPR to arrive.

Anyone else reading this that has not provided that information for 2014, please let me know and I will update your section as well. Often, once a decision has been made people disappear and then it is hard to get that information at the end. Thanks!

Oops - sorry. I thought you were asking where we would be living. No, the applicants address is in Chamonix, France. How does this city affect the wait times for receiving the COPR?

Thanks for all your information and taking the time to answer questions!

probably because it takes longer for the mail to arrive from canada. i assume the further away the applicant lives, the longer it will take to arrive. the copr is mailed by regular canada post.

As rhcohen said it is just differences in mailing times. However, the COPR is not mailed from Canada. It is mailed from London, England.

Hi guys,
My ECAS status shows in process since August 15, do you guys know how long it is going to take to get any correspondence from London/Passport request or to Decision Made?

Judging by the average on the spreedsheet, it's 2-4 weeks in most cases plus the mailing time after. I'm currently a week into waiting and despite knowing I shouldn't, I log in twice a day to look for an update. We've had a very rough start to August and I am looking forward to good news to round out the month.

OH yeah the spreedsheet, it says August 7th for our 'In Process' guys, could that be changed to the 14th? Thanks :)

Holy Macaroni. Just looked at the spreadsheet for 2012 and I am the only one left. OMG lol.... thats all I can say and do lol....
One day my turn will come. :)

+1 for Becki's request here, it's really useful to make sure that the spreadsheet is complete. Becki does a fantastic job at keeping an eye on all updates from CV; I am more active on British Expats. So huge thanks to Becki for all her efforts here, it's great to have someone so dedicated to help with the spreadsheet. :)

As she said, the more complete we can make the spreadsheet the better. To anyone reading this who isn't on the spreadsheet but who looks at it, the best payback you can give is to add your own data. The more lines we have, the more accurate a picture we have of processing times, and the more useful it is for anyone.

If you are lurking and don't want to post publicly, then feel free to PM me or Becki with your data, and we will add you in. :)

And since I'm here and supremely bored at work, I'll answer a few questions...

I've updated the line for you. :) I wouldn't think it would affect it that much... if you compare mailings to UK addresses, I'd imagine it would be a smidge longer, since it has a bit further to go. Most applications from France are filed via Paris, though, so we may not have an overly accurate view... but given the speed generally of EU mail, I wouldn't imagine it's notably longer than the UK. If it gets longer than 4 weeks, then it's time to start chasing. :)

Hard to say. Your best bet is to look at the trusty spreadsheet (linked in my signature) and compare times from In Process to Decision Made. The majority of people have DM within a month, but some have taken longer.

Oh my goodness, I was wondering what was going on with yours! I see that you had your interview last month, though... I'd say to give it until the end of August, and then send them a case-specific email asking for a follow-up. I cannot imagine the amount of patience you have waiting over 2 years to get processed...! Madness. You make Brit_Immigrant's wait look short!! :D

Sorry if this is not the correct place for this question.

On the How to Apply page it says

If your spouse, partner or dependent child lives with you in Canada, use the Application for Permanent Residence in Canada—Spouse or Common-Law Partner;

OR,
If your spouse, partner or dependent child lives outside Canada, use the Application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class.

My situation: I am a British Citizen currently living in Calgary, however my status is a visitor so technically I guess I do not live here?

We want to do an Outland application because it seems quicker and so I can leave Canada without my application being cancelled when I leave, so is it okay to put my UK address?

When you are in canada you have the CHOICE to apply inland or Outland

It's only when you are out of canada that you HAVE to apply Outland

You are absolutely right about applying Outland there is no benefit for a UK applicant to appl inland because the waiting times are so long

So to answer your question, even if you are in canada you can still apply Outland so putting a UK address is fine

And please feel free to ask as many questions as you want, this is what this forum is for

I have aske many myself an always recieved great help :)

Okay sorry to bring this up again but in form IMM0008ENU_2D question 10 of Personal Details section it asks for Current country of residence.

I am currently in Canada so should I put that? Or should I put the UK? It seems false putting Canada as I will likely have to leave Canada before my PR is granted. My visitor status expires in a couple of months.
