I have a new column that would be interesting to add (given that people have ordered notes):

Due date accuracy (or similar)

In the notes, it gives a due date for when the next officer should commence the review. Chevy's actual DM was shortly before that, and mine is coming up in two days.

What do you think? Irrelephant?

See below:
Paper File
Office: London
Paper file# F0000XXXXX
Location: MP01097

Application Assignment
Assigned to MP01097
Assigned by LF03103 (the one who approved the sponsorship)
Due date: 2014/08/22 (looks like this is when MP01097 should start processing)

Can you please explain what these "ordered notes" are about? Who orders the notes and why?

They are called GCMS notes and they contain all the info about your residency application, it's basically a request under the access to information act

It can reveal any notes written about your application by the immigration officer

Typically the sponsor (Canadian living in Canada) has to request the notes on behalf of the applicant

People order them to to see if any progress has been made on their file and to try and estimate a date for copr to arrive - also to address any potential concerns te VO may have

Well my due date was 2014/05/12 on the notes I ordered in the beginning of July. For sure I haven't received the decision yet, neither any other kind of communication from the VO and neither had the VO even touched my application by July. Criminality/security not started. Don't really get what's the point of this date.

I think it is pretty irrelevant. Mine was assigned to MP01097 and my due date was 2014/03/08........I'm still waiting!

Hello! Thanks for adding us to the spreadsheet!

We are married.

We will be living in Squamish, BC.

Yes - I was approved as a sponsor on July 29th.

Thank you.
Thank you. Is Squamish the city that CIC has as the address for the principal applicant. (Not the sponsor). That is where the COPR will be mailed. We are gathering this information so that people know generally how long they will have to wait after decision made for their COPR to arrive.

Anyone else reading this that has not provided that information for 2014, please let me know and I will update your section as well. Often, once a decision has been made people disappear and then it is hard to get that information at the end. Thanks!

Not at all , there is a difference no live trace means that there is something on you record but it is not deemed as revelant to show on your records, this could be because it has been stepped down. In my case it was because of a caution. In my original application there is a section where i should have have stated thati had been arrested but I misunderstood it to mean convicted so i ticked No on the form which i later found out that i should have said yes. I consulted a lawyer and he said that nothing can be done now but to hope and pray that they dont take it as misrepresantation..
Oh I am sorry to hear that. Fingers crossed there will be no determination of misrepresentation. Please keep us posted and good luck!

Hi Ya
I am a Canadian, living in Edinburgh Scotland, sponsoring my common law partner. I was wondering if i could get added to the spreadsheet. My application was received on 30th of June, SA approved yesterday the 19th! So excited and relieved, I keep rereading the letter just to convince myself it is really approved!
Hi! Welcome!

I have added you to the spreadsheet, please double check for accuracy. And thank you for providing me with all the information. Good Luck on your application ;D

I don't see you on our spreadsheet. Are you applying through London? Without that information it is hard to give you an estimate.

If you are applying through London, please provide your information so you can be added to our spreadsheet. (You can see it through the link below in my signature). The more data we can collect, the more the spreadsheet is useful for all users.

Good morning again,

I am still finalising my application - perhaps I am over thinking this.

My wife and I were dating were 9 years and have been married for 5 months now. In relation to proving a genuine relationship/marriage I have included the following:

1. A 3 page document for question 9 (development of relationship) this includes 45 attachments within an appendix - such as a selection of email, cards, all passport stamps, photographs.

2. Marriage certificate
3. A selection of ceremony photos, wedding invitation list, selection of rsvp cards
4. A selection of reception photos, reception contract, and menu
5. honeymoon booking and photos
6. A selection of photos taken over the past 10 years
7. details on our joint account
8. details on car financing

Anything missing?

Padraic
I am not sure if you are living together, but we also provided proof that I was on his insurance as his spouse and he had directed his life insurance policy to be paid out to me. We also included photocopies of some of the cards we received from guests at our wedding. And for the development of relationship, ours was 7 pages (with pictures scattered throughout the word document).

Hi, quick question;

Just got my notes, for my application it says due date is August 22 and it has an assigned VO. Does this mean they will start working on it then? What's been your experience? Has it been close to the In Process date?

FYI criminality is in progress and security is not started, however it also says I have no reportable trace and I passed for RCMP etc. I'm confused
That is usually your bring forward date, which is simply the date the computer system will notify them that your file is still outstanding. It is supposed to be insurance that no file slips through the cracks and is misplaced. That's what it is supposed to do, not necessarily what it does do lol

Background checks which is what criminality is, are done by an third party and the length that they take vary wildly from person to person.... Just ask British_Immigrant I believe he has been waiting about 6 months for that part.

Ok I assume I dont have to wait two more months. I waited 5 months after SA to order notes, I am sure you did it sooner.

This is what a part of my notes say, in the beginning:

Paper File
Office: London
Paper file# F0000XXXXX
Location: MP01097

Application Assignment
Assigned to MP01097
Assigned by LF03103 (the one who approved the sponsorship)
Due date: 2014/08/22 (looks like this is when MP01097 should start processing)

Also, my notes say (from the VO) that the starting in 2011 shows 12 or more months of consecutive cohabiting is bona fide in his opinion, I guess that is good..
I would pay much more attention to the notes at the very end of the report written by the officer on their first impressions that I would pay to any of the dates throughout the report. I looked back at the last notes I got and ours was dated Sept 6, 2014. We were approved in April. The dates are irrelevant.

Me again,

I was about to complete the supplementary information - Your travels on IMM 562 until i noticed that this is applicable to Paris office only.

I am now concerned, where do I include t all trips you, and if applicable, your family members have taken outside your country of origin or of residence in the last ten years (or since your 18th birthday if this was less than ten years ago). Include all trips: tourism, business, training, etc. If you or your family member did not travel outside of your country during this period, check "did not travel".

My personal history section was quite general

Padraic
We included it in my husbands personal history section, where they ask for the last 10 years. But really want from age 18 forward
