Ya, Finally received my CORP today after having DM for about a month:)

wow thats agessssssss

Where do you live?

Hey everyone,
I have been tracking the thread to keep an eye on how long applications seem to be taking and thought I would chip in my own timeline so far.
Sponsorship Application received March 7 2013, Approved May 6
Residence processing began August 23 2013

No decision made as yet but we are hopeful it will be quick.

Can anyone advise, since my application was made I have moved to Canada as my wife and I had our first child. I have informed London, will this just add a delay to my receiving papers through the mail?

STILL waiting for my corrected COPR from London. Been nearly three weeks now. >:(

WOW. if you are still waiting then I guess I shouldn't expect to get mine during this week either.
It's really frustrating to know that if the COPR just came I could start to organize my life. As long as it is stuck in London or in the mail all I can do is wait and wait and wait... This is even more stressful than waiting the DM. All I'm thinking is it is lost in the mail or my neighbor got it and just tossed it in the garbage. :D

Wow. DM made today

Thank you to all for sharing your knowledge , experience and giving support and special thanks to SM and Sweden for always being there with prompt response.

Now waiting for that post person with that envelope... Will arrive soon I hope

Final question , how does one apply for SIN in Toronto and how long does it take ?

Once again Thank You very much for all your support and best wishes for all those who are waiting .....

You already know how I feel about this, but I think you should email them every day until they return it. THEY made the error. They should be apologising to us and should have hand-delivered it the day after they received the incorrect one we sent back. I'm beyond furious. It does not take three weeks to correct and reprint a document.

CONGRATULATIONS!!

If you want somewhere central, city hall is good at Nathan Phillips square. You go with your signed and stamped entry document which the officer will do at the border when you 'land' and they will issue you with an active SIN on the spot. You can use it immediately, and a card follows in the post a few weeks after.

Tillykke! :-)

COPR just arrived!!! All screwed up and folded in half by royal mail...no surprises there.

Strangely it is valid until the 4th Feb 2014, which is one year and 17 days after my medical...bit random, but I'm beyond trying to work out their thinking!

Good luck to everyone still waiting...I've got my fingers and toes crossed for you!

PMx

Regular mail but signed for. It has taken a couple of weeks to get here though - I knew from ECAS that they started processing me on 13th August, and it says on the COPR that it was issued on the 14th August - not much processing then! But it then took two weeks to get here
