Thread for Outland LONDON, UK Applications!

I posted our application via ExpressPost on Friday afternoon at 3.30pm (PST) and it arrived (signed for) in Mississauga at 10am yesterday (Monday)! So happy that it's there, but now the waiting game commences. No AOR yet though not holding my breath for that to arrive any time soon.

Just have to try not to think about what we could have included in the application, though I think we were pretty thorough.

It was very strange to part with it at the post office!

I don't think it was too bad really, the two envelopes have the photos (about 60) and greetings cards in so make it look bulky. I've seen photos of way bigger files! The Skype history was about 20 or so pages but that's the biggest document in there. I also had to include a few emails and stuff to prove that we lived together from July 1st 2011 because we weren't on the lease at the first place we moved in to together as we were only there for a couple of months. The rest was just the usual rental agreement, home insurance policy, joint account details, etc.

Anyway, thank you very much, I really appreciate it. Hopefully the wait won't be *too* long

yeah congrats! your file was transferred 2 months before us, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed also because - i just booked my own ticket to Canada for October, and I'm going with or without visa

As a curiosity - did your ecas get some updates between the moment your file arrived in London and the COPR? Did you have any information from London office?

Well, I checked ecas on Wednesday and it did not say anything different then it had since May 18th. Just that documents had gone to london and medicals received. Just checked ecas now and it said decision made, so must have updated it yesterday.

Hello,

An update for the spreadsheet. We have, in a roundabout way, received AOR from the London visa office today. As we are Québec-bound, they have sent us an email advising to seek approval from the Québec government. We have already done this so there is no further action to take until we receive it. But good to know the VO has our package. Timeline: application was received April 19th, sponsor approval and file transfer on July 12th.

Just checked ecas and DECISION MADE 24th July! WOOHOO! Hope it's a good decision. Took a bit longer for us having to sort out the Quebec part but based on what I have read we should get the copr soon. Already in Quebec so waiting on the post!!

Does anyone know the chances of the decision being negative? Getting paranoid now!

Great!! I think there are very few chances that the decision is negative - if they had doubts about the relationship they would have asked for more proofs, or an interview - so unless there is something that is a no-go with your application, it means that the COPR should show up at your door really soon!
