Hey!

Welcome to the forum... for the moment you are looking at 3 months for stage 1 approval ( but likely to decrease as it has been going a bit better, so hopefully only 2.5 months... but no guarantee...), and then in London it's anywhere from 2 months( some cases) to 7 months - 80% of the cases are done after 7 months.

First stage processing is the same for everybody, more or less. Second stage depends more on your file. If you have a straight forward case ( married, or living together, lots of proofs, no previous marriages, not too much travels etc) you could be in the lucky 2 months, or 3 ... it's a bit of a gamble. BUt patience - indeed is necessary!

Good luck with your application,
Sweden

hey Herjeet,

I'm wondering the same - just bought my ticket to Vancouver for the 15th of october, highly doubt that I will have my COPR by then, but you never know! :-) my file was transferred middle of July, roughly a month after yours, so you should be good in November...
Congratulations on the decision of moving btw! :-)

Cheers,
Sweden

Did I read your post correctly, 80% of stage 2 applications are done after 7 months and only 20% before??!!

Thanks Sweden, my case should be straight forward! Keeping fingers crossed...you'll love Vancouver..paradise on earth. Whenever I'm on approach to YVR and the weather is clear, my heart always skips a beat when I look down at the splendid views of downtown and coastal mountains!! Hope to see you there one day!! Lets keep the faith and we should both be approved by September!!!! :D :D :D :D :D

it's a cumulative thing! :-) so after 2 months, they have approved 20% of the cases.
After 3 months, I think it's 30% ( but that includes the initial 20%) etc...
I have read somewhere the division but it's quite "linear" (40% after 4 months, 60% after 5, etc) - can't find it anymore on the forum

My case is also quite straightforward in terms of relationship, but lots of travelling before, not sure how it will affect, so it might add one 1 to my application... hope not, but well...

I have only been a couple of time in Vancouver, but really liked it indeed, I'll see you there! September sounds good to me, would be great to be able to land with COPR in october - otherwise I'll cross over to the US for a week end...

For november - you'll be approved, it gives them almost 5 months to look at your file, should be more than enough!

Hey guys, reading your posts is sooooo exciting. Going to Van in October and November, you'd better be ready for the rain, but also right on cue for the new ski season. 8). We were originaly hoping to be there in September , but I reckon its realisticly gonna be after Christmas. :)

hello fellow applicants,

London VO seems to have a good sense of humour.... my address was not correct on ecas so last week I sent a case specific enquiry to correct it.
Today I received an email:

Dear Madam / Sir,

We have received your request with your new address, and the information has been updated to reflect your new contact details. Note that the change of address made by our office may not be reflected on E-Cas. Also note that we will not confirm receipt of fax/ mail/ email received at this office but your file will be updated.

Yours sincerely,

Canadian High Commission | Haut-commissariat du Canada

38 Grosvenor Street

London, W1K 4AA | Londres, W1K 4AA

Government of Canada

So basically - they send me a mail to confirm that they have received and made the change, but that they won't send me a mail about it :-)

Well - that's good to know, thank you very much! :-)
At least I know that they have received my file and they have opened it, better than nothing!

Have a nice day all,
Sweden

HI Sweden ..

Thanks

Hubby flagpoled and landed yesterday! we drove the 2 hours to the Rainbow Bridge..Ther was no wait time. We went across to America and shopped, and filled up the car with petrol (sooo cheap!) and then home again. There was no problem at the border, got his COPR stamped and away we went!! Can't believe we're DONE!!! :D

Good luck to everyone still waiting! Stage two is going fairly fast through London now, ours was less than 2months!
