I know - so annoyed!!!!! Now they've sent me another email saying sorry, the visa is actually valid until September 1st 2011 - which is a year from the date of my medical but it STILL has the other person's name and file number. I've now responded to both their emails requesting clarification but it's just so ridiculous and I probably wont get any reply for ages!

This is outrageous! Really sorry suze_h. Just unbelievable

Hey Rob.Barrett, what date did your file change to In Progress? We aren't too far off in dates, just trying to gauge where I am in the queue lol

Wow! How unprofessional! I didn't think such errors were possible! I guess in the end they are only human...but then you'd think they would have some sort of "checking" system in place to ensure that this doesn't happen. I recon they'll push you through quick because of their error!

Saying that....they made a major typo on my post code so when they sent my package back with a letter explaining that we forgot to sign somewhere it took an extra week to get to our house. All our correspondence CLEARLY indicated the appropriate postal code, especially since I typed most of it. And so when I pointed this out it seemed like they rushed to put it though.

My fingers and toes are crossed for you!

Surpose its like being over the hump, but having no push to get you down again! Im sure they'll sort it out! hope either of us gets sorted as soon as possible. Im starting to pack things up here just so i have a vague idea of what to ship - Not really sure where to start looking about freight. im not really looking to be taking a house load. Probably Just some Boxes of Clothes, CD's DVD's and Myabe my guitars - however have heard thta best way with musical instruments is on the plane (in hold) we'll see.

Hey guys, check out www.collectmyparcel.com They buy up space from DHL (DHL even collects it from you) and it is air freight half the price of any other shipment I could find. Everything was intact including my champagne glasses!! Everything got to Canada in 4 days

Guess I'm lucky in that I've already got all my stuff over here as have made various trips back and forth over the past 15 months. I brought my clarinet over with me on the plane last time and with some airlines I know you can put larger instruments in the hold for very little extra cost - I'm thinking of doing that with my saxophone next time I come home for a visit - might be safer than having them shipped!!

I have a good feeling that you'll get yours tomorrow Rob! I'm fairly certain that the second email I got today was my PPR but would just like to know for sure. I know they're only human - everyone makes mistakes - but I just wish it hadn't been with a passport request! haha. Keeping fingers crossed for you, let me know!

It was my PPR!! I received confirmation this morning thank God!! Just need to figure out whether to send from Canada or come back to the UK to drop it in to them in person.....Good luck to everyone still waiting and thanks for all your support!!!! Well done really pleased for you I'd just send it with either UPS or FedEx.

Still nothing at my End. Im off work today, and i've left my email open with constant 5 min refresh. Just hope something comes today.

suzeh thats great news woohoo!!! gives the rest of us some hope yaay! As for shipping items, i have made various trips and brought somethings with me. I didnt put my guitar in the hold, i actually packed it inside my suitcase believe it or not but im lucky it is a shortie so was able to fit end to end with major amount of socks and jumpers packed at either end...shipping can be quite expensive... come on mr postie for the rest of us!
