Please I need help friends...is anything wrong on applicant travelling to another country after submiting his application and continue living there until he get ppr or interview and send his passport from the said country ,which is not country of his origin?
Will CIC have anything to question about even the person send police check from that country but didn't change his address to CIC?

Please update the spreadsheet!!

Ecas still says in process, but MyCIC updated this morning (22/11 Aus time so 21/11 canada time) to say this:

Application/profile status Closed
Review of eligibility Passed
Review of medical results Passed
Review of submitted documents
Scheduling an interview
A background check is needed Complete
Final decision This application has been approved

Attached to the MyCIC update was a letter stating my CoPR has been issued. Is this something I will be mailed? Letter also stated that I should receive IMM5785 and IMM5688. I know 5688 is the CoPR. Whats the other one?

I wasn't asked to send any passport/immigration photos or a photocopy of my passport, which is normal of London. Should I expect this or just wait for the CoPR now?

Otherwise all done! I'll be landing in Canada next April sometime. I'll be sticking around here to keep the spreadsheet up to date.

We got the same... you'll get IMM5785 and IMM5688 by post soon, they'll need to be signed for :)

IMM5785 and IMM5688 are the same, one COPR to keep for your records and another to hand to the immigration officer.

Will I need to be the one who signs for it? Because I'm getting it sent to my parents address and not mine. Im in Oz and theyre in the UK. Hope thats not an issue.

Thanks btw!

Hi All!

Hope everyone is doing well.

I'm hoping someone can help me with a question I have regarding moving while the application process is happening. Basically we're getting tired of waiting, and wondering what the process is if we wanted to move to Canada now? I know my other half wouldn't be able to work until he got approval, but other than that, can we just go ahead and move and update the government on our address change? Would he have to leave and re-enter the country once approved?

Thanks! :)

Hello from snowy cold Whitby Ontario

Well the short answer to your question is YES u can as that is what my wife is doing at the moment. But u have to play it clever, dont bring all his belongings and make sure he buys a return ticket. Make sure u can show if requested enough funds to look after him whilst his not working.

Also do not under any circumstances use the word 'LIVE' at immigration instead use 'Visit'. My wife did and almost got deported to London :D :D :D :D :D. Just say u have applied for PR for him and he wishes to visit Canada pending the outcome of his application.

He wont need to leave and re-enter as it can be done inland I believe. But make sure his prepared for the boredom of not being able to work as my wife is going out of her mind. Day time TV sucks here.

Hi Guys,

Would I be right in thinking average waiting time for UK citizen in London visa office is 7 months?

I was really hoping for Ottawa VO, very disappointed when I found out I got London

I was too, but then everyone went super quick towards the end. 216 days for me. i know some are longer but it really depends. I had a straight forward application but also a missing PCC from China and it seemed to go quite well. Depends I guess.

Good luck!

Hi, I have an update for the spreadsheet.

Sponsor approval: November 24
Visa office: London

Drat.

Almost all recent UK Outland apps have been sent to Ottawa - so we can still get the long London processing :(

Just seen your timeline and it really scared me. Why did it take that long?
