They contact the office who is processing your case.. so yours went to Ottawa .As for only processing so many cases, they are the government they can request what ever they like and how many times .. LOL I just confirmed this with a friend of mine that works both in the local office and federal building in Ottawa... So another MP who is to frigging lazy to do to much work that day and gives you the runaround.

That's what I thought, ah well I'll just count my blessings it's done, quicker we get to Toronto the better, bloody snowing in Edinburgh this week!

Just for anyone who's interested/would like it to be added to the timeline, my online file only changed to DM today, and it also says my application started processing on 28th April.

Very interested! Congratulations. Ours was received around the same time as yours, so here's hoping Ours will probably be delayed because they had to wait for medicals, but they were sent within 3 days.

CIC hasnt updated beyond "application received" which I know is fairly standard procedure. I confirmed with our consultant that they did indeed receive the medical.

Did they just update your status today then? I check it most days but feel a bit silly doing so.

Ok guys two questions first..... What is the address i send my outland uk application too? I'm from england.

Also i lost my passport but had my visa (IEC working holiday) in a another file. Do i have to order a new Visa or can i photocopy that visa and explain what has happened? Everything is the same apart from the passport number.

Yeah - we called yesterday (my wife is sponsoring me and lives in Canada) & the agent was very helpful. Said that they were backed up at the moment, and that there are cases granted SA but that hadn't been informed yet...

The agent also emailed CIC for an update on our file

Thanks pete_sk. knowing they were backed up, although annoying, is less stressful than thinking something is wrong with your application!

I still haven't received an email, but just logged in and it said "SA - Decision made 29/04"! Hopefully you will hear soon too as you were day after me!
