Congrats on the PPRs you guys!! Our return envelope with the passport has now been activated at Fort Erie two days ago! Its been sitting in Mississauga since then though, lol. Cant wait for it to get here! We hope to land in a few weeks!

Ours has been "sitting" in Mississauga for 2 days now too. We were hoping it would show up today :(

So much for 2 day service.

That email was atip-aiprp@hc-sc.gc.ca, right?

I emailed for CAIPS status yday and got a reply that my file is in processing and will be released on Sept 19th. I guess thats the 4 week cut-off.

Thanks to everyone for the congrats:) I have a question.

My husband will be sending everything in today with the passport request, but I was wondering about the landing.

1. Do we need to book him a landing appointment (he'll be coming from Minneapolis straight to Calgary where I am)?

2. Do I have to be there for the appointment if one is needed?

3. If we need one, do I book the ticket and then call someone about getting a landing appointment?

Thanks!

If it was an outland application you don't need a landing appointment. If he is flying international he will have to clear customs when he arrives in Calgary and he should be able to do the landing then.

Congrats to everyone who receive either there PPR or PR.

What a great relief to see some movement but i wish Buffalo can continue with the good work by clearing the backlogs. Anyways buffalo has not replied to our email inquiry hope...Let hope they are busy and still expecting more PPR and PRV in this new month of September.

I had no landing appointment when I landed (at an airport). Don't know what the Calgary airport is like, but you could always call Canadian Border Services and ask. When I called I just asked to make sure I could land at the airport I landed at, especially because our flight was arriving late at night. They confirmed it was okay, and just said for me to tell them I needed to land when I got there at customs.

I sent an inquiry on Monday, haven't gotten a response. There have been so many PPRs this week, maybe they really are working hard on the backlog now!

They ignore us all the time as well, those pesky Buffalonians! But I got the $5 fee for the CAIPS notes deducted from my account today, so we should get them next week and I am very excited and curious to see where our application is at. We also contacted our MP, and he put in a request for information on our file. It won't get us any closer to PPR, but at least today I feel like I am being proactive :P

Just received today Passport with Visa stamp

Process finally completely over

After talking to my husband, we decided we'd drive to Buffalo and get my passport stamped on Thursday!! What time should I plan on being there?? I've read everything from "Get there at 6am!!" to " I got there at 8am and was out at 11am." lol And does anybody know where I go once I get to HSBC Center--is the office just on the 1st floor?

get there at 7-7:15am. if you ask any security where to go, they will tell you to wait in Tim Horton's. the guard from the consolate will come down at 7:30am and bring you up so you are in line for opening at 8am.

(I did this, and was 4-5th in line, but still got out at 10am)

HOT DIGGITY!!! 8) a REAL e-cas update this morning (the Saturday of Labour Day weekend, nonetheless!):

" We started processing your application on August 18, 2011
Medical results have been received."

One step closer!! Now if only I could get my PPR in the next few days and avoid the hassle of submitting an app for a new LMO/CAQ/WP.

Side note - if I do get PPR soon but have already submitted an app for my WP, is there any way to cancel it, per se?
