Awesome. See, I'm convinced you have to keep these people on their toes or they won't do crap. I'll put medicals received on today's date on the spreadsheet.

Ecas update: Medicals received.

Could this have something to do with my fax earlier this week? :)

Yeah, I think people whose cases came in after the system conversion were dealt with much much more easily, compared to the people whose cases predated the system conversion. I'm assuming that just like with the B and F files scenario, there was an entire array of aspects of the file processing that needed to be transfered to get the old and new files harmonized and in-synch. We all know that when it comes to working with something that's new and ready to be processed according to a new system versus something that is old, started being processed according to a former system, and now needs to be converted over to the new system (maybe we can even go so far as to call it re-processed), at worst it is tempting to just deal with the fresh new files and ignore the old ones to make one's life easier, and at best, even if they give the old files the same amount of work, they will still lag because of the fact they need to be converted to a new system. ::) That's just my take on what must be going on over there. I don't know from Adam anybody who works at CIC or at Buffalo.....

Still just don't understand what is really going on in Buffalo office...bcos they say files are process in other they where receieved meaning on a first come first serve...Honestly, something is not right bcos most Dec, Jan, Feb are yet to hear or see any update or medical received on Ecas...
Maybe due to the old system issue while maybe the new system starts from march that why march applicant are getting PPR and PR. I wish buffalo could do some about the backlog they have and avoid keeping people on suspence and stop randon replies bhla bhal be patience as all cases are defferent...Funny

Awesome, Romain. Interesting scenario. I just put 8/31, the date they called you, as your PPR date then, and I explained in the comments section about the lack of PPR, application for TRV.

Well, well, well...

I got a phone call today from the canadian consulate in NY. I was informed that my wife's immigration visa was issued today !

We never really got a PPR, however due to the fact i have to start a job in canada early october (provided offer letter) and that the whole family cannot move back to Canada until my wife's visa is issued, i submitted her passport with an application for a TRV visa and the photos requested for PR VISA + Eye Color/Height note (thank you to Kess and others who shared in this forum details of their PPR email).

My husband left this morning :( he starts his new job in Canada tomorrow and the kids & I are still here waiting for our house to sell. To top it off, the kids started their very first day of school today as well but in order to exprot/import the car properly, hubby had to leave today (he' doriginally meant to go on Saturday) and miss that too!

Please house sell -we did have a showing this morning and a few days ago... hoping something comes thru soon.

eCase update today! Medical results have been received!

Now I just have to worry because the meds expired on June 29th - or rather a few days after that. But yeah... And then worry about if we're going to need new ones. And then if we're going to need interviews... Haha. Either way - PROGRESS is happening!

*fingers crossed all of us from Dec-Feb get more news this week!*

I'm going to pretend Buffalo is ignoring my enquiry because they're all working so hard on processing things... ::)

This. Let's pause March onward for just a few days so Buffalo can get us done! ;D

For real. I haven't seen my husband in 8 months. It's our 2 year anniversary on the 9th, we've missed his birthday and my birthday so far this year. Family members have gotten sick, have died, I've been laid off and found work - I just want to be with my husband now kthnx. Life is hard enough without being separated from your partner:( It's hard not to get bitter when people who applied after you get whizzed through.

I know what u mean, frankly speaking I have no encouragement from CIC. All I have got it sponsorship approval on time....thats it !! After that no communication at all, I had to squeeze out my file # from them otherwise I would have been sitting without it. Cant fathom this fact that our lives depend on bunch of strangers.

I agree, Buffalo should really get their act together. I also think that if they had a better system to communicate with the applicants instead of the unreliable ecas, this wait would be much more tolerable. Right now, you don't even know if your application is being held up because of missing information, or your background check taking longer than normal, or if it is just collecting dust...Maybe they should have considered this when they were changing their system so that at least something good would have come out of it for the applicants.

doctorkb...what number did you fax your request?

I got my passport request today!! Seems like Buffalo is really moving this week :) I just want to tell everyone to keep holding on..I honestly felt like Buffalo had done nothing on my file in months and months, and I've been pretty depressed and anxious about it for a while now, but this week was just about unbearable. And then lo and behold I get it today (a week after I'd contacted my MP's office, hmmm..lol). I feel so happy my case is coming to an end, but it's bittersweet- I wish we could all get PPR today! :) Keep your chins up everyone and let's home all our cases are resolved asap! ;)

I hear you. I've decided that I'm going to file for GCMS notes the day after the last batch is received each time until we're done. At least this way, I'll have monthly status updates that actually mean something.

buffalo-toronto:
Ottawa Regional Medical Office
Health Management Branch
Citizenship and Immigration Canada
219 Laurier Ave. West, 3rd floor
Ottawa, ON K1A 1L1
Canada
Fax: +1 613 954 6211

Basically, my fax asked that the medical record # XXXX for client ID XXXX-XXXX (Name) be forwarded to Buffalo Regional Processing Centre for inclusion in File FXXXX / BXXXX at their earliest convenience. I gave phone and e-mail if they had further questions.

I got the Medical Record # from the FOSS notes we got earlier in August and the B# was in our GCMS notes (we only had the F# before)

FYI in case it hasn't been mentioned. The F# appears to be the computerised file number, whereas the B# is mentioned in the GCMS notes as the paper file number (and the location of "Buffalo" is noted also).
