The company that took our photos, stamped there company info along with date on the back of ours.

Well, false alarm... the address re-appeared later in the day (on the 11th).

Gotta love the inconsistency that is consistently CIC.

BTW: we're "application received Feb 9" (by Buffalo) and there's no mention of medicals... which expire near the end of Sept.

Has anyone here had to redo their medicals because it expired before PPR? My husband's is expiring this month. We tried to contact Buffalo and our MP about that, but all we get in response is along the lines of "we will contact you if any action is needed". We'd like to be proactive about it so that our application will not get delayed any longer. Unfortunately, redoing the medicals is not cheap, so we are undecided.

Hello, I stumbled on this thread when doing a Google search for outland Buffalo!

I'm British and live in Canada (just north of Settler Alberta) with my Canadian husband. We applied outland spousal with 'London' as the processing centre. I have no idea why but it was transferred follwing my hubby being approved as the sponsor, to Buffalo!

I wondered if it might be possible to add my timeline to the spreadsheet?

Posted 20th June 2011
Received 21st June
Sponsor approved / request for IMM1012 / file transferred to Buffalo 4th August
Sent copy IMM1017 to Buffalo to add to the file 9th August (DMP apparently sent the original to Ontario)
Ecas update application received (not sure if this is the AOR) 9th August

Thanks and i'll keep an eye on the thread to see how quickly things are (or aren't) moving :-*

Got this email from Buffao:
We must wait for notice from CPC Mississauga.

Canadian Consulate General Buffalo
Immigration Section

In response to this one I sent:

To whom it may concern,

Attached is the receipt for my Right of Permanent Residence Fee. As you can see it was paid by my sponsor on April 8th 2011. I hope this can bring these issues to an end. We are also sending a copy of it to the Buffalo office. The question I have is how will I know if what we are sending is the right thing? I know we have 60 days to pay or provide proof of payment. I just want this taken care of as soon as possible and start my life here in Canada.

I understand if you can not verify by a scan, however if that is the case can you PLEASE tell me where I need to send it?
Thank you

Now that Buffalo still refuses to help me, does anyone know how I can get this matter resolved I have my original receipt for my RPRF. Please help I am really at my wits end with Buffalo, I wish there was a person I could talk to and file a complaint/grievance.

Ok, you're on. You probably have not received an AOR yet. That's weird about it being transferred from London to Buffalo. Did they give any reason at all for that?

I hope they take care of it at Buffalo for you but the CIC website has a specific address for RPRF payments (third one down): http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/canada/mississauga.asp.

I am perpetually confused by AORs. While I have not received anything via snail mail, I do know that some Buffalo people have gotten emailed AORs. What I'm trying to figure out is: is it still considered an AOR if they send it to you (in the form of an automated message) after you email them, bugging them for info? My automated message came with the following subject line, "Citizenship & Immigration Canada: Information about Fxxxxxxxxx," where the F thing was my file number. In addition to my UCI and Application (F) Number, it said "Dear [ddobro2's real name], This confirms that your application for permanent residence in Canada has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2011/06/09." Then it has a bunch of generic Q&A stuff below that (probably in the hopes that I don't bug them again, hehe). AOR or no AOR? Thanks in advance you guys.

I had to bug them for my file number too (and consequently to know I'd been transferred to NYC! Oi vey...), and I didn't even get a confirming sentence like that. Just a "Your file number is F#/B# Your file is in progress, blah blah." I considered that much to be AOR - personally I think it's AOR once you're given your file number at the VO.

So I have emailed Buffalo again this morning, reasons were address change hasnt been reflected, hve the medicals been received and whether my file was transferred out too like couple of others, i did mention this in the email as well. Lets see what they respond with. I really hope there is a PR coming bcos I might have to let go a job opening otherwise.
