We got an Ecas update on Saturday that says we've been in process since August 3. Today we got a ghost Ecas update. It still says

We received your application for permanent residence on March 10, 2011.

We started processing your application on August 3, 2011.

Address is still there it doesn't say medical results received. The address has always been there and we've never had anything about medical results received. For some reason though we can't log in with the receipt number but the client ID, the F number and the B number all work fine.

Hey Tiggilicious..my timeline is very similar to yours...applied a few days after you...hoping to hear something soon. Except for when I received the first AOR it said application was sent to London England.

Anyways when I log in with the file number it says:

"We received your application for permanent residence on March 9, 2011.

Medical results have been received."

Does yours say that it was received in Buffalo? Or just that it was received...I did email Buffalo and they gave me a B# and F# so I guess it was forwarded to Buffalo from London....I must have lost time though :(

It also only says "Application Received"

It didnt say Buffalo, it just said what yours said, but March 10,2011. Followed by In Process and a week later Medical Results have been received, and a week later PPR

Hey guys !

So me and my husband are going to drive from Detroit to Buffalo this monday and be there at the consulate for his stamping on Tuesday! I would really appreciate and love it if you guys could give some inputs on hotel suggestions? Visa stamping procedure, tips etc?
I am going to look through the posts of people who recently went to Buffalo in person.
We basically just need his passport and the photographs, thats it ...right? And then just be there by 7.30 and wait in Tim hortons ?
Any suggestions on good hotels nearby?

Also, ddobro2 has graciously accepted to take care of the spreadsheet from now on :) A big thanks !

I stayed here: http://bestwesternnewyork.com/hotels/best-western-plus-galleria-inn-and-suites

it had free parking, and was a 5 minute drive from downtown, no traffic at 7am. it wasn't totally luxurious but it was simple and clean, recently renovated, and had free breakfast/coffee in the morning.

in addition to passport and 2 photos (of the specifications they asked for in the PPR email), make sure to also bring a printout of the PPR request itself, and a sheet of paper indicating your height and eye colour.

I dont get it, all of us were transferred on March 10th. Everyone else either got PPR or atleast something to show on e-cas, mine still says application received on March 10th, nothing after that.

Mine still says application recieved on Feb.24th with no other updates.

Thanks eletyl !! So we need just a blank sheet of paper that says his height and eye color? I am guessing it has to be same as what we put in his forms...right? I dont remember if we had black or dark borwn for his yes...hehe

Anyone......anyone at all? **hears crickets**

Hi everyone. With sparkle's blessing, I'm going to consider making some tweaks having to do with highlighting on the Buffalo spreadsheet. As it stands here is it what the color coding means:

People who got their file transfered to buffalo :) but no AOR - Orange
AOR (File # received) - Yellow
PPR - gREEN

So even though I realize AOR is a big (and sometimes mysterious) issue, I am considering simplifying by removing the orange and just having yellow and green.

Give me your thoughts. If I get enough "go for it"s, then that's what I'll do.

I think you should leave the "orange" column. It gives people a better idea of the timeline from when their file is transferred to Buffalo to when they receive an AOR. And as you mentioned, AOR is a big deal around here ;D
Having said that, I have no idea how much work is involved in tracking all these dates down...

I just printed out a document (from MS Word) in this format, and handed it loosely with all my other documents:

Last Name: xxx

First Name: xxx

Middle Name: xxx

Height: xxx

Eye Colour: xxx

It was probably overkill, but they had gotten my middle and last names swapped in the PPR, so it was my gentle nudge to get it right. And, when they handed me the COPR, they finally got it right. :P

Oops, I meant get rid of the yellow not orange. Seems like at least one person (kayan) appreciates all three colors, so I'll keep it unless anyone else has something to add ;D
