I would definitely mail a copy of the receipt along with a covering letter stating that the fee was paid along with the original set of fees.

Good luck!

I'm just popping in to say hi :D We won't be submitting for a while yet thanks to having to wait for child custody modification but I'm hoping to get it sent by late July.

Looking at the google doc and trackitt, it's looking like most people get approved within 5-6 months. I'm hoping my less than typical application (minor charge that was dismissed/shows as such in 1998 on my FBI record, plus 2 custody orders showing sole legal/physical custody w/ no visitation for the fathers and court approval to move internationally) won't mess up my application from going way past those. Plus an exclusion order, which expires on Oct 27, '11 but Seattle told me not to bother applying for ARC because it just isn't going to get approved. Ah, if only I could time travel back and not make stupid mistakes :)

Good luck to everyone!

hehe I think there are plenty of people here who would second this statement!

Good luck! I hope you make it through reasonably quickly. :)

Hi Guys

I am new to this forum and found it this weekend...and I am so depressed to see the timelines here, our application started processing on 12th oct 2010 but we are still waiting for the PPR email. They communicated with us once and requested our marriage certificate( marriage took place in canada), which they returned last week and the wait is still on....Is there something wrong....are there any other people in my situation too :(

My wife is currently living in Portland and she is going to come up to visit (and hopefully stay past the six-months until we get her PPR). We just paid the deposit on a new apartment for us to share. It is actually an apartment that we have been daydreaming about for months and have wanted so badly to start our home together there! She is going to be visiting here from June 1st-6th and bringing up some things and then returning on June 17th. I really hope that she doesn't get bothered by CSIS -- she has not had any problems yet when taking the train to Vancouver. This is like a dream.

Unfortunately it's often difficult to say why some applications take longer than others. If you didn't include your marriage certificate as part of the original application, this would have created some delays. However if they have now returned the marriage certificate to you (rather than keeping it) - hopefully that's an indication that they are going to complete the processing of your file soon.

Of course I'm just guessing...

Hope you hear good news soon!

I'm just down the road from her in Salem :) Hope things go smoothly!

puzzle:

my daughter is autistic and can be quite a handful.

now that we're landed, and mostly done with everything, looking back, I think the only person that really worried about the fact that she was autistic was me. it never came up in any of our crossings, our landing, we didn't need an interview, etc...

which in hindsight, is a huge relief.. hoping that helps ease some of your anxiety a little. :)

Thanks Scylla for the wishes...I really hope we hear soon from them..but I am so puzzled the way they work...they told my attorney that they dont need any papers in april there was no communication before that....
I sincerely wish all the luck to people waiting in line here...

Adetia,

Thank you so much for your reply. That does ease my mind tremendously. My son has been diagnosed with PDD-NOS and is quite high functioning. He doesn't have meltdowns often but he does have the knack of having them at inopportune moments. I just have this nightmare scenario running through my mind that he will have one when we are landing! I guess I shouldn't worry. If he does, he does. You just never know how a particular immigration officer is going to react. But, if he has his PR visa I guess it shouldn't matter. Living with autism is a challenge but it will be much easier in Canada with all of our extended family and friends supporting us. Thanks again, Adetia. :)

Hi everyone,

I need your opinion. (I've asked the same Q in the March Applicants thread and thought I'd ask here as well) I finally heard back from Buffalo about my husband's PR application and we finally know that it's in process and I know file numbers that I can check on CIC.

thing is.....We got my sponsorship approval April 20, 2011 and they sent out our application to Buffalo the same day. When I check CIC, it says "We received your application for permanent residence on January 1, 2011. "

The dates definitely do not match up! How could they have received my husband's PR application before we even sent it?! Should I email them about the discrepancy?

It's probably just a glitch in ECAS as they are switching to a new system. There have been plenty of glitches reported in ECAS over the past several months. It has no impact on your case.

So no progress...:( Although I am glad to see some "In Process" and "Initial Assessment"

Me and my husband took the advantage of the Memorial Day sale ! I visited him on the weekend and we did some furniture shopping so that he can use it a bit before we are ready to move it to Canada ! I believe the furniture has to be used and not brand new for it to be brought as your goods to follow !

Sometimes it seems like ECAS itself is one massive glitch :P

I was hoping to see more progress too. Fingers crossed that we see a lot more this week! :)
