Finally, we got the sponsorship approval, now its off to Buffalo and more waiting....

Got an e-Cas update today... Application Received February 9.

Still no AOR (neither mail nor e-mail)...

Man our status hasn't budged in over a month. Application received March 24th. Since then, crickets. :/

Same here. 'We received your application on March 11th...'

And then? Come on, I'll come help you guys speed things up! I'll bring coffee and donuts and make motivational speeches, and give shoulder rubs! *jumps up and down*

Maybe someone in this thread can help me, I'm going to be applying through Buffalo, I was married in Canada and I'm not sure if I should have the short form or the long form of the marriage certificate. We ordered the short form and I haven't even got that one yet, I'm afraid I'm going to have to order the long form and wait even longer to get that one. Anyone here just send a copy of the short form and have no problems?

Look up the appropriate applications on the CIC website. There's a package for the sponsor and one for the applicant. Each has a checklist.

Review both checklists carefully.

I just got an email stating I have been approved as a sponsor for my husband and that our file is being transferred to Buffalo today!!!

Can anyone tell me how long it generally takes to get from Mississauga to Buffalo?

Thanks!

Ooooops having link issues. Sorry folks!

Anyway, on that page is a huge notice saying they are upgrading their computer systems and applications received in March may experience delays.

I was approved as a sponsor on January 25. The letter I got from Mississauga was dated for that date and that's what it says on e-cas that I was approved as sponsor and file transfered to Buffalo on January 25. I got the AOR on April 29 saying that they received our file on February 2, 2011. I hope this gives you an idea ! Welcome to the waiting well :(

I was approved as a sponsor on Feb 8 and that our file was transferred to Buffalo then. I still haven't heard or received an AOR from Buffalo! :( Hopefully we will hear something soon!!!

LOL... well nobody can accuse any of us of not being patient. lol

mmshock, yeah we do know about the upgrade.. Buffalo received our file according to ecas on the applicant part, on March 10. Going on two months and it hasn't budged. And its probably going to be another month at least before I think we will hear anything as the late December applicants are starting to get their actual AORs

Just got CAIPS notes, what does "BF'd date" mean Mine says April 01 2011. Whats going on!
