Congratulations Jessibee!!! Looks like you had a very long wait, but it's finally coming to an end. Best of luck and I hope all goes well landing in Canada. :D

Congrats to Kerianne and Jessibee, that's wonderful!!!!

Puzzle,

If all goes well maybe your husband and I will get our visas at the same time!

Yes and here's hoping it is sooner rather than later! What province are you moving too? We are in Saskatchewan. It is so hard to wait especially when my husband sees jobs he wants to apply for but can't work yet. It is good that you have a place to live when you arrive. My employer provided us with housing for the first 3 months so now we only have 6 more weeks to find a place of our own but there is just nothing. There is a real housing crunch in this area and there are a lot of people looking but not much available!

Thank you so much!! :D

One thing everyone should know:

When we got our CAIPS notes, we saw that they had entered his e-mail incorrectly so my husband set up an email account with that address and had it forwarded to his actual one. They sent his PPR to the incorrect address so it is a good thing we got our CAIPS notes and knew that!

Congrats jessibee !

I've updated the spreadsheet

And thanks for the info...I wonder what if they have a wrong email address for my husband too. It's been 12 weeks since the file has been transfered to Buffalo, and we haven't heard anything (No AOR or e-cas update). Do you think he should e-mail them from his account and ask ?

Hi guys,

So if my ecas says that buffalo received our application on April 7th, is that AOR? Or is AOR something else? I'm confused... We haven't gotten a letter or email or anything aside from the sponsorship approval letter...

We'd been waiting 7 months after AOR at that point so we ordered our CAIPS notes and found out that way. It probably wouldn't hurt to just e-mail them - can you log in to e-cas? It should tell you when they started the process in Buffalo.

I can log in on e-cas....but that's me, the sponsor. We still can't login with my husband's details, and on e-cas it still shows "Not Available" for PR application. For sponsorship it says the file was transfered to VO on Jan 25.

I emailed them last week, and they said till date the file hasn't been created for us. When it does, they will send us the AOR. I am wondering if we should email them again from my husband's email address where we are expecting to receive the AOR...

This is very frustrating... :( One person after me got the AOR last week, now I am thinking I should wait for a few more days, and if I feel ours has delayed more than usual, maybe then I should email. I don't want to piss them off for bugging them again and again ! And also, I feel that's just going to take up their time when they could actually be working on our files ! LOL

I totally understand your frustration, we were watching people who applied in November get PPR when we had applied in June! Ultimately, I think that CIC does things in their own time. We're lucky to have this forum for when things go wrong! As an example, because of this forum I knew that Buffalo lost FBI clearances often, so when they asked us to send one (when we had already submitted one) I knew to ask them to have another look - and they found it! This probably shaved months off of our waiting time.

I would just try to be patient and not get too frustrated by other peoples' progress. I hope that it will come soon for you!

Mommyk,

We are moving to Ontario. I can understand your husband's frustration on the job front. I hope many opportunities are available to him when his PR comes through. Good luck on your househunt. Hope you find a place soon.

Congrats Jessibee...You're almost finished!! and thanks mommyk! I'm hoping my passport will be here tomorrow or wed.

I was laying in bed last night and now I'm all worried that my passport has been sent back too soon. It was only in Ft. Erie for 9 days, but I think that's what other had waited correct? I'm sure it's fine, over all if I get it back in the next two or three days it will have been 15 days on the nose. Anyways, i'm just wayyyy anxious! lol ???

WE GOT SPONSORSHIP APPROVAL TODAY!!! FINALLY THIS PROCESS IS MOVING FORWARD!! I am completely thrilled! I am going to savor this moment and have a glass of wine to celebrate because I know the next step is going to be MUCH more stressful!

I am so glad to have people I can tell my GREAT news to!!!!

Thanks for being here!!!

Congrats, Janamay! One step down! :D

We have the same thing showing on our ecas, and was told its not the AOR, the AOR will show your file # and everything in the letter from Buffalo
