Love-Buf-Wings,
My file was transferred on March 24, and the CIC website said they received it on April 7, so about 2 weeks. According to member Quakingaspen this can be considered the AOR (your husbands file # should arrive by either mail or e-mail). Hope this helps. BTW, I love Buffalo Wings, Too!
Thanks so much! It makes no sense why the Canada-Us immigration process takes so long. Anyway, the Buffalo visa office replied to an email I sent yesterday (that was fast) stating that they are working on January 24th letters of acknowledgment (AOR). At this pace, it will be months (hopefully, not more than two) before we get this letter.
Does anyone know the anticipated time between recieving an AOR and the decision making stage? I know it varies, but an on average estimate would be helpful. My husband wants enrol for an MBA program in September, we are hoping for a decision to be made by August so that he won't need to defer his study plans. Do you think that expecting a decision by August is unrealistic?
Thanks guys!
