I am in the same boat as you are, my interview was also waived and was given 60 days to submit NJ police clearance cert. I am hoping I will get it back by today from NJ which I will ship it next day air to Buffalo, if they receive it by tomorrow, I am hoping the VO gets it ASAP and clears...

hopefully NJ has mailed the cert. and I should get it by end of this week. Will send it on Monday and they should get it by Tuesday next week. If nothing else remains, will it still take them butt load of time to process the NJ cert?

you have to be living in a particular country for 1 year atleast to be processed through that country, otherwise the application goes to your home country

No I dont think so the couple has to be living in USA. Dont think thats a requirement. I also use Turbo tax...were you able to put in NRA for spouse's SSN field and the return went through successfully thru turbo tax?

you can file married filing jointly even if your spouse doesnt have a vaild status in USA and doesnt have a SSN. The American partner will have to file for TIN-Tax identification number for the other spouse to replace the SSN. Married filing jointly is def. much better. I had the same problem...
