Just wondering, are you now able to check your application status on e-cas?

Sorry to sound sort of not smart.
But how can you sign up?
Can you sign up before you send your application in or you must have a number from the Canadian office?

Hello everyone.

I will be mailing my application pretty soon. My visa office is also the visa office in Buffalo. I will be joining this group very shortly.

I have a question for you guys. I've read that we must send the application following a guide. What I'm trying to say is that I must follow a guide that tells me in what order all these paper work should be placed.

Any help is appreciated.

I am pretty much done. All i need is to put it all together and mail. But I just want to make sure I put it all together the right way so nothing is missing or misplaced. I just want the immigration officer to have an easy time with the application and not struggle trying to find different things.

Thanks for your help.

Hi All,

I have one general query,
Currently I am in US, and had courier my passport to NYC for visa stamping on 24th Jan, 2011, still waiting for my passport, my status in ecas is updated as Decision Made, when can i expect to receive my passport, as my US visa is going on expire soon.

Thanks,
Ash

You can sign up using the following link: https://ecas.carroll.org.uk/

If you have the Receipt Number that was generated when you paid your fees you can use that #
Currently I have the e-cas tracker linked to all my numbers received so far (Receipt Number, Client ID# & Immigration File#)

hi everyone i know someone posted a list of timeline. i posted a spreadsheet a while back with everyone's timelines. i stopped updating when i was left so far behind!!! its totally not updated but someone can take over if they wish.

and honestly after i got approved i received my CAIPS notes and the whole time i thought CSIS was the reason my app was taking so long. it turned out to be CIC! im glad i kept in contact with my MP because 2 weeks before christmas i contacted him and he said something along the lines that they will assign it to a visa office within 2 weeks. then the first week in january i got my PPR. i recommend anyone who has been waiting for a while have ur MP step in and call the CIC. the caips note when ur MP contact them. but if u just applied the MP will most likely not listen to ur request. Good luck to everyone!!!! I hope Dralon u freaking receive some news idk what i would do if i were u

Yes, you should order your papers according to the checklist (IMM 5491). This will help you not forget any document or paper. I just placed whatever photos provided in envelopes so that they wouldn't be scattered all over the place or even misplaced...I also seperated each application form by a small paper clip, then just placed them all in a big envelope.

SPONSORED SPOUSE/PARTNER QUESTIONNAIRE

IMM-5490

DEVELOPMENT OF YOUR RELATIONSHIP
9. Describe how your relationship developed after your first contact/meeting with your sponsor and if you and your sponsor dated or went on any
outings or trips together. Provide photos and documentary evidence of events or activities in which you both participated.
If insufficient space, use a separate sheet of paper.

MAINTAINING CONTACT
24. Has your sponsor visited you during the period of your relationship?

By answering question 9 and question 24, would I not be writing the same thing twice?
My wife and I don't live together. She lives in Canada and I live in the US. The only way we spend time together is when she visits me here. Should i write the same thing twice. Or what have you guys done?

The development of the relationship is about how you maintain contact with your spouse. This can include skype logs, telephone bills, e-mails, ect. It also is where you can include info on things you have done together like trips and activities.
The next question is more basic ans simply wants to know if your sponsor visited you. I would put most of the details in question 9 and just state the dates that your sponsor came to the u.s. to visit you.
