We included state certificates (4) with the original application as well (just in case and to avoid delays).

I think a criminal conviction (even if a pardon has been received) almost always complicates a file and delays processing since additional steps and verifications have to be completed on the CIC's end. I suspect this is why you've had a long wait. I hope you'll be finished soon!

Just to add... We had to get four state certificates for my husband (FL, PA, WA and VA) and they were all far easier to obtain than the FBI.

And although I think it's a long-shot - go Steelers! :D

Hi all,

Thank you for your feedback. It's a bit of a pain getting the state police certificate in my state, as you have to request the forms online (which they then mail to you), then you get fingerprints, then mail it back to them, and wait to process. There's an extra step involved, whereas with the FBI background check, you can simply fill out the forms and print them online, include the fingerprints, and mail it off.

I've only lived in 1 state since the age of 18. Prior to that, in my youth, I lived in 3 others. If I understand the CIC site correctly, they're only interested in police certificates from places you've lived since the age of 18, correct? So I should only get one from where I've lived (and am living) since the age of 18?

Oh, and go Packers! :D I always found Pennsylvania to be a dull state... now Wisconsin on the other hand... Milwaukee... Madison... Green Bay... Eau Claire...

No cheerleaders for either team...I'm not sure why they're even bothering to hold the game, lol.

I'm cheering for my favorite team tonight; the OFFENSIVE TEAM!

Wow... you seem so... disappointed about it. >:(

Still, congrats on being the first Buffalo person from October to get PPR. When did that happen, exactly? Email or snail mail? I'm guessing not eCas, since you said it's still 'In Process'.

OK, after 16 Months... I finally got the long awaited change in my e-cas... DECISION MADE!!! (via ecas-tracker)
