I am married and I am pregnant now 25 weeks (6months) So I hope this interview is soon since I now have to travel to Buffalo a 13 1/2hr drive from where I am living in Quebec. Has anyone had an interview in the U.S. Before? any idea how long it takes to schedule and interview? Anyone with experiance in this I would appeciate any information you have. Thanks

omg r they really questioning ur relationship!!!!! do u think its for security purposes or relationship.

I doubt it is for security reasons since my husband is from Morocco and has been in canada for 4 yrs. He also is in the process of obtainng Canadian Citizenship. So they have all of his inforomation and Morocco is not considered a security threat that I am aware of. I am from the U.S. and have lived in the same state my entire life.

Relationship
Meet online in Dec 09 married May 2010
Same religion, 3 yr age gap
We did not send pictures since it is against our religious beliefs (we are Muslim) and this was explained in the application
We did send a letter from my Mom stating she approved of the relationship and had spoken to my husband on the phone.
Sent Skype call logs, including a conversation he had with my sister.
Sent reciepts for my car trips to canada to visit and marry my husband
Sent reciepts for places we went together on outings

I figured this info would be sufficient to prove our relationshop. I will now order CAPS notes to see if I can tell why they want an interviei

I'm so sorry Jmni1 :( I hope the note help. All I could even venture is that without photos perhaps, but they are supposed to be very respectful of religious choices, so even that seems hard to think is the case. Hopefully it's quick and painless.

Having just taken a 12 hour trip to see my husbands family in Canada - not pregnant mind you - I feel for you!

Oh jmni, I'm so sorry to hear about your pending interview...being pregnant you don't need the stress and a 13 1/2 hour drive! That is absolutely ridiculous! They obviously did not give this any thought? >:(

Has anyone had an interview in the U.S. before at one of the visa offices? I am wondering how much notice you were given and how long it took to schedule the interview after you were notified of the interview? Also if you could share and questions you were asked I would appreciate it.

jmni - sorry to hear the news. good luck with the interview!

according to the google spreadsheet on the board, scsquare seems to be the person that had an interview (it could be wrong, if so, pls correct)

Congratulations to all with good news and so sorrry to hear about the bad news :(.

Just wanted to let you know that my husband rec'd his PR Card yesterday.

Good luck everyone!!!!

i dont think i remember anyone being asked for an interview recently, i havent really updated the spreadsheet in a while but still dont think anyone had an interview. i think it is probably bc of the lack of pictures hopefully they will issue u the PR right after the interview
