Awesome! Congrats! :D

So, just under 3 weeks from receiving the AOR? Hmmm....good to know.

Dayanara, I've heard conflicting answers on that!

Yea, so have I. I don't even think they will give you a straight answer on it, just to cover their own butt on it. Hrmm....

*crosses fingers for the faster of the two*

Wow, so fast! Congrats! You certainly deserve it after the stress of the last week or so!

Husband received an email this morning too, requesting his passport. Our file had been In Process in Buffalo since June 7.

Has anyone ever gone in person to Buffalo with their passport and NOT received it back the same day? e.g. has anyone driven from Ontario (or elsewhere in Canada) to Buffalo to drop it off in person and then got stuck there overnight with no passport to get back into Canada? The Buffalo information says they will "make every effort" to return it to you the same day. Sounds to me that it is very likely you'd get it back same day, but they just don't want to guarantee it.

Is your e-case status changed?

Oh God, I want to receive my request, too.

Great to see people getting PPRs but it seems like they've completely passed over all the March applications that are in process >:(

Dhdesigns we have to receive our request, too. Very soon. I don't know why they leave us behind but anyway is very good to see PPR from Buffalo.

I think it would be very exceptional circumstances if they didn't return your passport the same day, like there is some problem with the passport or a question of true identity.

I went and presented mine myself. They only open the office to the public on certain days and only in the morning (8-11, I think). When you present your passport you just go and sit in the waiting room. It takes about 1.5 hours to do what they do, then they call you back and give you your passport and some other stuff. They explain that you have to wait a few hours before crossing the border back to Canada because it takes some time to update the computers. I arrived around 7:30, and yes there was a line already, and was finished around 11:30. I went to lunch and wandered in a local mall then headed to the border. I had no problem and didn't see anyone else have any.

I worried more about my passport being lost in transit than presenting it in person. If you want to know more about my experience, PM me. Allison

Lys, YAYYYYYYY! Our first May PPR from Buffalo!

Wow! Amazing timeline Lys!! I'm so happy for you!!!

I'm so disappointed that mine didn't get approved. Why are they asking for things that are completely irrelevant to my application? It seems like they want to redo the sponsorship app. I mean, my husband was APPROVED to sponsor me. What does Buff/LA even have to DO with the sponsorship undertaking. That was already taken care of. It's all so frustrating. I thought I was near the end :(
Oh well, at least I am not denied.... yet... :'(

They asked my sponsor to send proof of funds and tax returns and transaction records and all kinds of stuff because they think he can't support me. He was already approved to sponsor. They must think I'm unable or unwilling to support myself for some reason.... ??

Sorry to hear that giggles! I will include you in my prayers....all of you. And congratulations to May approvals! I hope we (June applicants) are up soon!
