Sorry, I meant the 90 day deadline that Buffalo gives you to get the documents back to them.

Er... I guess I'm just striking out, aren't I? Buffalo pretty much always says that the form has to be recieved within 90 days when they ask for some type of documentation like this. I assumed that was the deadline you were worried about. :-X
I hadn't actually heard of the 90 day validity on fingerprints before.

Copied from the April thread since I'd really like some input on their angle here and I think more people visit this thread:

Wow this is really bizarre. I just received a letter from the LA Consulate asking me for a copy of my divorce decree from my previous marriage (pretty sure I already included that but whatever) and they also included a letter for me to forward on to my sponsor that states they're worried that he won't be able to fulfill his obligation to support me financially and they want him to send them a ton of financial information/paperwork.

What the hell?? My husband is a student and doesn't have a job but everything everywhere says that the financial things don't matter unless you have dependents. Everything I've read says that they don't care about financial stuff unless they have reason to think that the applicant is unable or unwilling to support themselves. I am fully capable of financially supporting both of us and plan to do so as soon as I can legally work. I have a lot of money in savings and so does my husband. I'm going to give them as much information as I can but I am really confused as to why they are asking for this ??? :-\ ???

Hey Giggles,
...sorry to hear about the runaround. But the good news for you is that they are actually looking into your file! Just provide the bank statements that shows yours and your spouse's savings, your education/experience info, and you should be fine.

Yeah I know. I'm going to send them all the information. I'm sure we will be fine. I'm just so confused as to why they are asking. I've never heard of this happening.

Also, our IO signed the letter personally, we have a name and everything . Is that weird or what? :o

Well, sadly it seems like they don't always know what they are doing. After reading some of the posts on this forum, this doesn't surprise me any longer :'(

We just received our AOR letter with the labels from Buffalo today...finally!

Seems like Buffalo sends AOR's out after 3 months of inital mailing of the application. Is that about right?

Hello everyone!

I would like to know if there is anyone else out there that is applying outland for their PR with Buffalo as the visa office that is processing your application. If so, please share your timeline and let's keep each other posted on progress. Also, if anyone is interested in applying outland to Buffalo, feel free to post here. I don't know much but we can all try and help each other out.

I am married to a Canadian citizen and we both live in Bermuda.

I know that there are lots more posts on this thread and I will go through them later but Alisa, you appear to have received your PR in record time. Was your application received by CIC Miss. March 2nd and then sent to Buffalo a few weeks later? It looks like Buffalo only took 2 months to approve your PR. Is this right? Can I take some hope away with this timeline? :D Another question - I see your Meds were done beg. February and sent to Buffalo beg. May. My meds were done a week before my application was sent and the meds were sent to Canada - not Buffalo.

Note: Sorry Alisa, I left your timeline in my message. I put it there for my reference.

Question....the 4-10 months stated on the website for the Buffalo office....is that AFTER the AOR is received? Or is it from the time that your sponsor is approved?

Dayanara, I've heard conflicting answers on that!

I think from AOR.

I take back my *rant* from yesterday.

We received a passport request via e-mail this morning. :D
