Yeah, it makes you think "If only I had sent my application in just a few weeks earlier...." but whatever. We'll all get there eventually :D

Wow! a month and half more for us, I guess.....but I guess I can still send an e-mail to them to change his address to mine? He is not planing to 'visit' until mid-sept. I hear from them before that.
I'd wait on the address thing. If they haven't started processing your application yet then you probably don't even exist in their system yet. In my opinion, it would be better to wait until Buffalo has your file created and they know who to apply the change to.

LOL giggles! I should wait until I asked them to change my husbands address or wait to have the file before he moves here?

That is correct. We were both born citizens. I was born in Canada. He was born in the USA.

Thank you everyone for your positive thoughts.

I am willing the United States Postal Service to move our mail across the country with lightning speed!

The suspense is killing me...

hey Lys!! did you ever find out what happened to your application?

Lysiana, I am confident you're about to get an approval. Lucky you!

Amine, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.

I hope these folks in Buffalo are just on summer vacation and will pick up the pace soon. For financial reasons I need my spouse to be able to work before February. I start school next month and by February I won't be able to financially support us anymore. We thought we had lots of time but now we're not so sure. Buffalo, please hurry so we don't have move back home with my parents!

did you receive an AOR yet or does it say in process yet from Buffalo?

I wrote another thread about getting an email and file number from Buffalo. It had something about my old file number from Nova Scotia... don't know what that's about, but I suppose that means they're working on my file, which is good!

Both. We received an AOR through the mail. After receipt we checked ecas and it said "in process."

sbwv09, the more I look at your email the more I'm sure they've just come up with a way to tell people they have their apps but just haven't officially started "processing" yet. But I'm repeating myself so I'll put a lid on it!

Still trying to wait patiently.... not very successfully I might add!

I keep having urges to ditch work and head home to check the mail when it arrives around noon.

Hopefully the letter will arrive before the week is out!

I can't take the stress anymore.

Nah, I wouldn't wait on the move - they don't care about that as long as he has legal status (even if it's just as a visitor). What I meant was I would wait to notify them of the address change until you have a file number. Just to ensure it doesn't get lost and whatnot. You should have your AOR before September when your planned move is, I think.

Crossing my fingers! Thanks!

I can join this thread now - my file was transfered to Buffalo!

Good luck Lys! You're in my prayers! Hope the best for the rest as well :)

Still no change on my e-cas or any letters, PPR, etc. Just playing the waiting game and trying to stay busy to keep sane!

Anybody here going to be a student once landed in Canada?
