There is actually a lot more positive interview experiences than negative. I believe there were some others who shared their experiences about their interviews here in this thread.
Immigration interview are not like job interview so obviously it's just so unpredictable.

I actually had some unpredictable job interviews in the past. With the immigration I think it'd more predictable. Usually they ask you questions about your relationship, such as how you met your spouse, etc and usually people are able to asnwer this type of questions. The officer is not there to trick anyone but make sure that relationship is genuine.

You made your point. Besides there have been alot of people on this thread with a genuine relationship but less proof and there application was refused which keeps there life's on hold due to the IO's opinion during interview yet they later appeal the case and won. Also later was issued a PR Visa.
Similar issue goes to job interviews too but with no right of appeal Lol, meaning someone else was selected for the position not bcos they are better or more experienced than you. despite your experience and skills after interview they end up telling you that you will be contacted and after a long wait you never get a call back so?

All interviews are interview so is not a sure thing.

Are you serious?! Congratulations! However I'm jealous because my app was submitted at the same time as yours on Sep. 2. I have yet to hear from Buffalo, as my status is still 'app received'.

Wowwow... this is a very good news for September-Buffaloian!
Congratulation NSDOL!

I admit it, I'm jealous too ;) We started processing on Aug 26, just a few days before you ;D A big congrats though!

Was your case fairly straightforward and are you currently in US?

I am in Canada and my husband is currently residing in the US . We hired an immigration lawyer in Canada to help us prepare the package as our work schedules were quite hectic.

I have been checking ECAS almost every day and status was only changed three days ago. Before Thursday, it just had Application received September 2nd.

Incredible, your file spent 2 1/2 months at Buffalo. Congrats.

WOW

Apparently we have overlooked the RPRF too so we didn't pay that. :(

Source: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/3900ETOC.asp#pay-fee

Below point 2:

Note. We strongly recommend paying the Right of Permanent Residence Fee along with your processing fees. By doing so, it will reduce the processing time of your application.
...
Payment issue - Overpayment
CIC will:
•start processing your application, and
•send you a refund as soon as possible.

Note: The pdf I downloaded in Aug2011 contains a flowchart, but seems CIC website no longer has it on its online version now.

You know, it was on one of the guides, I believe, when I started looking into this process around March of 2011 but apparently, I can`t find it in either the sponsor guide or immigrant`s guide any longer, so perhaps they took it out when they revised them. It was definetely a graphic with arrows though and it talked about what of the fees could be reimbused under what circumstances.

Yeah, that's what I assumed. Too bad- I quite liked the flowchart.
