Got another medical results received ecas update today even though we got the PPR request Monday.... Why do they even bother with ECAS, honestly.

General question.
My partner passed the interview in late September. But because we did not pay the PRF we were told to pay that and wait for further instructions. One week later we received instructions on how to pay the PRF. So the fee has since been paid and I've sent out a copy to Mississauga, along with a fax to the Buffalo office.
I know every case is totally different, but what's the estimated time frame for Mississauga to notify the Buffalo office of the payment?

I don't know when they notify them, but it can take a month or more to process fully. If you sent it in late September or later, I would definetely give it more time. CPCM sent me a letter after I sent in the receipt confirming that they received it and "notified the visa office" that the RPRF fee had been paid.

Okee dokee, receipts are now in the mail to Mississauga and Buffalo, just to be thorough. I sent it Express with tracking for the Mississauga letter and Registered Mail to Buffalo, just to cover my bum.
So from what I gather, it takes at least a month for that to process after the fee is paid and the receipts are received?
Bleh. Not looking forward to the thought of another guaranteed month living in Buffalo, but... if I hold out at my current job until after December 9th, I get another week's paid vacation, so that's something positive, I suppose.
Sigh.
At least we did it so there's really nothing to wait on any longer from our end.

Went to Buffalo today, arrived at HSBC centre at 7am, got visa and COPR issued at 10:15am, landed via Queenston-Lewiston, went smoothly, declared my goods to follow, and was on my merry way as an official permanent resident! 
I hope everyone waiting gets theirs quickly!

My interview was waived on 3rd oct. but they are looking for NJ Police Cl.Cert. Once I supply them with that, what is a reasonable estimate no. of days I should keep for them to process the NJ Cert. and send me my PPR?
