Great info! I will wait for the AOR then before asking them to change his mailing address.plumosa said:its the number that buffalo assigns the cases at their office. You definitely need to use it when emailing or contacting buffalo in any way!

He is not "visiting" until mid-Sept and we are expecting AOR on snail mail to come sometime after the long weekend.sbwv09 said:jancath, I contacted them to change my mailing address using the Client ID my sponsor had. You could try that, but if it's not pressing you can wait until you get the B number
Yes, I recently sent a case-specific email to buffalo, requesting instructions for sending additional information as I had not yet received the B-file number - my file was only transferred 2 weeks ago. I wasn't sure what response I would get necessarily, but figured asking and knowing for sure that I had to wait for the AOR was better than just waiting for it, especially as it is pretty likely that our FBI clearance will expire before we get the AOR and file number from Buffalo.jancath410 said:Great info! Wow that sucks, but is good news too! Hope everybody is okay! And you're right it's all about balance. Gotta take the good with the bad! Congrats on the renewal of your VR. How did you do that? I'm afraid I'm going to receive one the next time I 'visit'. I've received two, one for a month's visit, and that second one for only 2 weeks! How long does it take to renew and what's the process because I would like to know just in case I am issued one, especially if it's another short one ie. 2 weeks!Vervain said:Good news! We went to the border last Friday to see if I could renew my Visitor's Record and try to get my son another Student Visa (he's 8 and in Grade 4 this year). We had really messed up and after getting his Study Permit the first year in 2007, never went back. So he was in school two years without one. BIG NO NO, possible inadmissibility if they wanted to be harsh. Well, I went in expecting to have my butt handed to me but the IO was an absolute sweetheart. Asked me some questions, asked me about my son not having a study permit for two years. I answered honestly, the school didn't request another one after the first year, so we let it go. All was fine though, she issued him his Permit and gave me another YEAR on my VR!!! She said they were working on my file so she probably wouldn't see us back in there before we got PR. Wow, big weight lifted off our chest! Unfortunately, on the same trip we totalled our car. Things have to balance out I suppose lol The kids were in the car but they were fine, didn't even cry and my son was so jazzed. He was all excited to have been in a car crash...ugh. So yeah...balance. I'm choosing to focus on the AWESOME news and not the bad stuff hehe
I AGREE!! UGH! I'm so tired of waiting and playing the games at the border. Every time I cross to visit they treat me like garbage andCherlyn said:I want my PPR :'(...........I am so so so so disappointed of this wait and wait .............. :'( it's so hardddddddddddddddddddddddddd
I always just go to the Border and say, 'Hey! I need to renew' There's no process, they just look over my papers and give me one. I know you can renew by mail but I've never bothered. I don't want to pay a fee or do any more paperwork so I go to the border.kerianne said:How long does it take to renew and what's the process because I would like to know just in case I am issued one, especially if it's another short one ie. 2 weeks!
Thanks in advance!
