Thanks Me too! So relieved...quakingaspen said:Congrats, Valy!! I'm so glad it was good news! When will you be landing?
Ha! Me too!! Everybody was like you look so happy and you're glowing. I can't being to explain how much better I feel. The anxiety and sleepless nights, I won't miss at all!!kelKel said:I've had numerous people asking what I've been doing different lately and telling me I look great (like the Bran commercial)! Honestly no more anxiety, huge smile on my face, it really shows!
Thanks for mentioning that! I remember that I had read somewhere that the deadline has to do something with when you did your Medicals (which I found really strange). I was hoping that I would get that information once I get my passport back, but I guess not....kerianne said:Congratulations!! That's awesome (Vegas is an awfully fun place!) I may be wrong but I think you only have 30 days after you get your passport back to land. Something to check into. I've read on here before people wanting to wait and decided not to. My PPR didn't say anything about deadlines for landing. I know there is a deadline on sending your passport in, but not all to sure about how long you can wait to land. I'll look around online and see if I can find anything helpful
Congrats! The visa will be valid to the date from when you got your Medicals done. So if you got them done say Oct 15th that will be the date on your visa and you have until then to land.valy79 said:Thanks for mentioning that! It would be awesome if you could post it if you find any information on it, thanks
Congrats!valy79 said:So I got the PPR e-mail today ;D So happy! (didn't have to wait for a letter in the end)
Thanks! I applied to the University of the Fraser Valley (in BC) and the dental assisting program. Rumor has it that they're closing the dental hygiene program, so I chose the next best thing. I used to be pre-Dental Science at Portland State Univ. however I decided to change my major to dental hygiene. Wasn't ready for 8 more years of school! The hygiene field is flooded in the lower mainland, so I am choosing assisting until the program and job opportunities rise. So I'm crossing my fingers it all works out. School should be easy, I already graduated a dental assisting program (through an advanced learning center for high school students) however it was not an accredited program, so unfortunately I have to do it again here in BC.valy79 said:Awesome! Thanks kerianne!
Oh nice, which university and which program? Good luck!
