if you have a work permit for Canada then you should not risk having your application closed by sending it to the US where you may not be able to get a visa. File through your own country or inland since you are already able to work in Canada. The reason that people file Outland (generally) is because they want to lessen the time that they are unable to work or be apart from their spouse. You have both... There is no way to ensure that you arent going to have to spend time away from your husband unless you go inland.pmary said:heatherusa
no I did not send my application . I can not decide which visa office send my documents. But today I have applied to extend my work permit.
You can stay as long as you have been legally given time to stay... however long that is. You can work as long as you have a valid work permit. If you need a visa to be in Canada it is your responsibility to ensure that you have it.pmary said:kelKel and heatherusa
Thank you for your advices. I hope I can make a decision very soon. So you told me if I apply from my home country I can stay in Canada as long as I have a valid work permit?
AOR - Acknowledgment of receipt.Stumpedmom said:Ok all...I have been following this feed because I am going to have to go thru the Buffalo process. I got married in July of this year and we have been together since September of 2008. This may come across as a stupid question but what is an AOR?? We have so much information to file, to prove our relationship, everything is gathered up, the only thing holding up our application right now is the $550 as I have been off work on a medical leave since the first of September.
Glad to see everyone processing quicker than stated on the CIC site, and wish SaugaBoss and everyone else waiting luck, and hopefully they will come thru as the best Christmas present ever!!
Thanks in advance to those who can help me!!!
Thank you Chrimano....My husband went to the post office as well and said that they do not forward mail to a Canadian Address....do you mind giving me the name of the form so I can search it online....Thanks...chrimano said:@ jancath410: had the same situation. Just went into one of the post offices and they handed out a small envelope with the form to fill out by hand and some coupons. The forward first-class mail to a canadian address.
