Really wish CIC would update their website. I know they are not looking at my file yet but at least if it shows they are getting CLOSER!!! then I could relax a little more.... or get even more excited/nervous.

You did sign up for the eCas tracker, right? (see link below). Then you don't have to check it all the time, just sit back and wait for the email. Of course, if two weeks go by and you still haven't gotten an email, then you can manually inquire from the site.

I just checked on E-CAS AND it says DECISION MADE ON DEC 7TH!! That's 26 days !! Not bad !

We sent you a letter on December 7, 2010 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Funny how my mother and I open the door to check the mail AND THE MAILMAN HANDED US the letterrr and it's apppproved!!!! IM SO HAPPY ! !I hope you all get the same good news before the holidays !!! good luck to all !! xoxoxo

That's really great news to others recently received their DM letter! And also good news for everyone else waiting, because it means it won't take long for you now.

No letter in the post yet for us, could take a really long time, mail always does to Australia. It took nearly 4 months last year to receive a christmas parcel from our in laws in Ontario.
Don't worry, I'll be quicker than that at updating the table, I'll get onto it shortly so everyone can see the great progress.

AOR - Acknowledgement of Receipt – the first official document that says the application for permanent residence status has been received.
PPR – Passport request – Immigration requests passport when they are ready to issue the visa.
DM - Decision made (waiting for letter of sponsorship)

Still no news for me. Feeling a bit impatient. We've found an amazing house to buy, but can't even think about buying houses until we get some news on the visa. I'm scared someone is going to buy it!!

Thanks everyone !! And keep checking the mail and your receipt number does work its just a matter of how fast they program it into the system... yesterday I tried it and it worked i was so shocked and then looked in the mail and found the beautiful letter !! lol so for those of who which they received ur apps after the 12th of nov should have already gotten a decision made and the letter should be on it's way !! hopefully before the holidays
