^ I'm trying to log on using my payment slip # For the name do I put my name (sponsor) or my husbands name (who'm I'm applying to sponsor? )
 
@Serenifly - I'm pretty sure you use your name (sponsor) to log on to e-cas

i'm very happy for you.
I'm just at the beginning. Our file was sent out on Nov 26th and it was received today by Mississauga.
I hope we all have a very fast processing like you did.
 
I tried logging in to eCas, but they have no record on file. I typed in my receipt # and my sponsor's last name, as well as my own. You DO type in the last name of the sponsor, correct? I just want to make sure I'm doing it right.

I'm excited to hear more people getting accepted! There should be a couple more by now, people...
 
I used my last name (I'm the sponsor), the online payment receipt number (the one starting with R), my date and place of birth.

Thank you for the support you're giving us, but, you know, hubby and I haven't celebrated yet because we want to wait for the letter first.
I read that DECISION MADE doesn't mean I'm eligible 100%, the letter might also bring bad news... :(

I'm wondering how long it takes to deliver a letter from Canada to Italy. At least 6 working days, I suppose.

I understand what you're saying, but I'm guessing that more than likely, you're approved. I haven't heard Mississauga denying anyone unless forms are incorrect, no payment supplied, etc. As long as you qualify as a sponsor (not on welfare, no criminal history, PR or citizen of Canada), the sponsorship side is easy to be approved for, and hard to be denied. It's the sponsor application that can be tricky and time-consuming.

hmmm... when you mention welfare, I hope we aren't going to run into problems. My husband (sponsor) only worked a few months for the last financial year and took EI paternity payments as we had a baby. I hope they don't see that as welfare. We provided evidence of other savings and he's currently working now... hope they take it all into consideration!

Hey canadayogini,

I don't think that would effect it. You should have your approval any day now. Are you checking your eCas constantly? :)
 
Yogini EI is not considered welfare so you're okay!
 
I have checked my status a few times today and no joy! I understand that it is the sponsor's last name that you put in...that is what I did. Getting impatient now!! :o Oh well maybe tomorrow will bring us good news. It would be earlier than I really expected but since CanuckyInItaly has news...now I am impatient. Canadayogini, I agree with what the others said and I wouldn't think EI paternity payments would count as welfare. Don't worry, I am sure it will be fine.
 
CIC Rcvd my app on Nov 4th still nothing when I (sponsor) logs online ... :( boooo

Serinfly you won't be able to see anything on ECAS for at least 3 months in you're applying inland.

I just had a question concerning ECAS... umm whats the website for this? and what exactly is the info I need in order to get into it ? Let me know... thanks! :)
 
This is the website... http://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/ECAS.jsp and you will need your client id or reciept number and, name, date of birth, etc.

Hi all,
Hope you guys are doing better with the waiting game :) :). I was wondering if anyone has an answer or comfort for me cause I was doing good waiting but I'm starting to worry now ??? ???. I sent the application in October but because of CIC's poor and very confusing explainations I sent the money to the wrong place. I got a letter back telling me to pay (UH no DUH!!!) and my representative (Dad) paid using his credit card for me (asked he can) online but the money has yet to be taken from his CC!!! Has anyone experienced this? Having to wait a week without money being taken? Why can't the CIC just send out a note, call, email saying we got everything and your application will be considered now :( :( :(
