Well sent 2 application to MICC yesterday for the second time. First package is still in customs for 3 weeks now. (Was sent via Registered Lettermail)
Fed ex is supposed to arrive for tomorrow, and they said the longest delay is 2-3 days for them to clear customs and not 3 weeks. The Fed-Ex guy said... yup she's a goner!!! lost in mail lala land I think he meant.
All I asked them was, here is my tracking number, can you not tell me why it is stuck in customs for 3 weeks? Apparantly they are supposed to pick up the packages from customs... if thats the case, are they crawling to pick up the mail... sheeesh...
Here is the reply from Canada Post as they were the last ones to scan it.
I am sincerely sorry that we are unable to initiate the inquiry. I have verified with my supervisor and she has confirmed that we must adhere to the established processes.
In order to obtain details concerning this mailing, the sender must contact his local post office as the originating country is responsible for tracing and processing claims on their own items regardless of where the item was last scanned.
For information on International Postal laws, may I suggest that you visit the website for the Universal Postal Union. As per the UPU policies, we are only responsible for items originating in Canada. Every country provides indemnity for their own parcels.
